Get Motivated Seminars Get Motivated Business Productivity and Motivational Seminar  Internet

Today I and my staff attended the GET MOTIVATED SEMINAR in San Antonio, Texas.

First the positive: We loved the patriotic and spiritual aspect of the seminar to whit a few people on this website have disparaged.  We found this spiritual and patriotic aspect to be a welcome breath of fresh air in our world of secularism and it's bash America and Christianity attitude.  Tamera Lowe's testimony was especially refreshing and inspirational as was the recognition given to our fighting men and women.

Second: We enjoyed most of the speakers.  All of the HEADLINED speaker ranged from OK to GREAT.  The one headline speaker that I was upset about was the legendary Zig Ziglar.  Zig had an accident a couple of years ago that caused his short term memory to become almost non-existant.  This great man was introduced by his daughter (and publicist) to what would be a humiliating episode for Zig if he had all of his faculties about him.  I would ask the Ziglar organization to cease these public events for such an esteemed man.

Lastly: There were two non-advertised speakers who took up an inordinate amount of time.  Both of these speakers were charletons as far as I am concerned and both used what I percieved as a false spirituality to promote their wares which were for sale at the event. 

The first slick salesman was Phil Town who told the audience how he could teach them to make enormous amounts of money in the stock market (one example was 66% per year) with no risk of principal.  He gave several examples of testimonials to his prowess and said that traditionally accepted investment stratgies are basically bogus and are promoted to take advantage of people.  He said that if we would just attend his seminar (at a cost), buy his software and trade yourself to millions.  Mr. Town incorporated God into his presentation but I can see through his slick salesmanship to tell that God plays little into his daily life.

The second slick salesman was James Smith who informed the audience how he could teach and coach them into immediate wealth by investing in Real Estate with no risk and little to no money.  Mr. Smith used the fact that he was from Texas as a hook as well as his frequent references to God.  Mr. Smith's foul mouth and his flippant and irreverent attitude betrayed his true lack of spirtuality and adherance to Christian values.  Mr. Smith (of course) also had a seminar that you could purchase along with his personal real estate coaching services.

All in all this would have been a great event with more motivation and time management material and less snake-water from the likes of Mr. Town and Mr. Smith.  It is a sad commentary that the Ziglar organization would take advantage of Zig in his current condition.
