GHS Solutions Debt Solution Scam Delray Beach Florida

I picked GHS Debt Solutions as a company to help us get a hold of our debt as we tried to settle our accounts with our creditors ourselves but no one would take less than the entire amount owed. After about an hour conversation with Tim Williams, at GHS, I felt comfortable with the program and he assured me that his company was very different from the other companys we had used in the past, only to be burned as well.

I explained I had a small amount of funds that we would like to put up front and then delay the next payment months since we were putting so much up front. However, because of the money we were putting up front I wanted them to work on my husbands 2 accounts as we were being threatened with legal action. Tim assured me that would NOT be a problem and in fact his brother was the best negotiator with the company and he would send his brother an email with the info and as soon as the paperwork was received his brother would work on it. I felt comfortable with the situation and it seemed I finally a positive solution to our problem.

Our first payment was withdrawn on March 25, 2009, we got a letter from the Rocky Mountain bank showing the funds, however the bank was never reachable by phone.

We continued to receive collection calls and I let it slide thinking paperwork needed to be processed. Finally, I needed to know the status because the balance on the account had not changed, collectors were still calling. I called GHS on May 12, 2009 and spoke to David who informed me that aside from taking my money, nothing had been done on my account. No letters were sent to the creditors...nothing. He said that he would notify the arbitration dept to look into it and someone would call me back. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, when John came on the phone, he was all testrone, not professionalism! He informed me that GHS DOES NOT sent out cease and desist letters because it put negotiations at a disadvantage and the creditors tend to not want to do business with them. I asked why I had to pay $20 to have a limited power of attorney notarized if they were going to use it as their paperwork stated they would. The answer, "thats policy."

I told John that I wanted to CANCEL my account and I wanted all $3000 dollars refunded back to me, since he and David both admitted that their company had done nothing on my account for the last month and half, John said fine we can cancel, however when I spoke to Tim Williams in March and signed up, GHS automatically earned $1077. so I would be receiving the difference back.

This company is clearly a joke and should be shut down by the state of Florida. How many others have lost their hard earn money because of this scam of a company?
