GIBSON TRUST INC DON'T TRUST GIBSON TRUST POMPANO BEACH FLORIDA

I signed up with Gibson Trust in November 2001. Although I made all of my payments to them on time, my creditors didn't receive payments from Gibson Trust for at least 4 or 5 weeks. For instance, the last payment I sent to Gibson Trust was July 15. That payment didn't reach my creditors until the end of September or the beginning of October.

I cancelled my contract with Gibson Trust in August of 2002. I waited so long because I hated forfeiting my first payment (the in-house payment). In order to cancel my contract, I had to send a certified letter and request my in-house payment back. Six weeks later I received a letter from Gibson Trust, stating that they would not return my in-house payment because I didn't pay off all of my creditors before breaking the contract.


At the time I signed on with Gibson Trust, all of my accounts were current. None of them are current now because Gibson Trust didn't pay them on time, not once. Two of my creditors never received a proposal at all. When I tried calling Gibson Trust, for months all I could reach was someone's voice mail. I haven't been able to reach my counselor, Sarah, since I signed the contract. When I finally began reaching a "human", he or she would always tell me that my money had been dispersed already and that the creditors just weren't posting my payments on time. I find it ironic that not one out of all my creditors posted a payment on time.

We bought a vehicle this past summer and because our credit was ruined by Gibson Trust's failing to forward our payments in a timely manner, the interest rate on this vehicle was outrageous. Had we bought the vehicle in November, before we signed up with Gibson Trust, our interest rate would have been much less.

Gibson Trust is an immoral, unethical business that preys on people in financial difficulties.
