Gibson Trust; a misleading, horrible service, counter productive scam .....

Gibson trust was tusted by myself to take a sum of my money from my checking account and pay my bills. They recieved a small percentage of what they paid out as their payment for managing my bills. Seems fair. At the beginning of the plan they establish a monthly payment that must be made in order to pay bills within a given time frame. This is like a minimum payment and I was welcome to pay more if I had it.

The scenario became a little weirder when I had to pay them the first payment. The first payment was not actually going to be used to pay creditors, it was for them to hold for me until I had finished the plan, then I would get the $563 back. Obviously I had had the wool pulled over my eyes, yet what could it hurt? They would reduce my monthly payment and help me get out of debt, and when I finish I will get a check. It all worked out in my head somehow.

Then after several months of normal service, things stopped being normal, scheduled payments would maybe come out of my account, or maybe not. I began having to call them frequently to see if everything was still happening as it was suposed to. More times than one I had to go to the post office and send them cashiers checks because their website had not been operating correctly. (The fact that they would not take personal checks would have been nice to know before I signed a contract.) The biggest problem I had was when I went to my bank to find out I was overdrawn hugely, and owed a huge amount of money due to overdraft fees.

After wondering how I could have made such an error, I noticed that Gibson Trust had somehow taken their monthly draw out of my other checking account... The wrong one... The one they were not suposed to be taking money out of. I talked to the bank and I talked to Gibson trust over and over again. I faxed them coppies of my bank statements showing all of the fees. I only wanted coverage of the bank fees.

They agreed wholy that it was there fault, yet in the three months that I gave them to deal with the problem,never did. I had my bank withdrawl the funds from them. Gibson Trust has probably paid more late fees for me than anything else. They pay everything late, I can never get a hold of them, I just want out. I am sure there are some honest people in this business.
