Gil Medina Gilbert Medina. Con, Pervert, liar Salt Lake City , Utah
*Consumer Suggestion: He sounds like a nice guy
*UPDATE Employee: Rebuttal of Gil Medina being a Con Artist and Scam
Gilbert Medina is a piece of work. I mean the in the WORST possible way. He is a not to be trusted, liar. Who will con anyone he can, if he thinks you can help him he will first use you and then con you, he will take your talent work them and not produce a pay check. He just "decides not to pay". Dont be fouled by his personality he'll wrap you in and before you know it your screwed.
Not to mention he is a complete pervert. About 10 girls were basically forced into grabbing his * and giving him a lap dance in an audition where this was in no way needed/appropriate.
Not to mention the only reason on of the girls got a part is because she slept with him.

#2 Consumer Suggestion
He sounds like a nice guy

You guys are too hard on Brady Lee Kotter. He sounds like such a nice honest boy. You guys make him sound like a narcissistic little punk that can't afford to pay his obligations. People use common sense.
A small one room office suit in that part of town runs $200-$300 a month. I'd
think a talent agency would be concerned about appearances, and if they had any
money whatsoever they would be in a very nice office. That was your warning
sign number 1. I can go on and on about the warning signs you had.
Stealing from people is wrong. So I am going to share what I would do if this happened to me.
1) Get your money. In Utah and Nevada talent agencies are required to carry a surety bond. These are in place to guarantee payment to workers contractors and talent. If you were not paid goto the department of commerce in the state of Utah and to the corporation commission in the state of Nevada. Ask the state agencies where you can obtain Rival Talents bonding information. Then submit your claims for missing wages to the bonding company. With a little tenacity you should get paid. If there is no bond ask the state to revoke Rival Talent & Bradly Lee Kotters privilege do
business in that respective state.
2) Stop the crime. I would also complain to the attorney general's office and share your experience with them. It is a privilege to do business in the state of utah and nevada. That privilege can be revoked. I would work the angle that Brady Lee Kotter is on the sex offender registry and allowing him to conduct this type of business is putting the public in danger. Next I would go to the landlord next and send him a copy of Utah Code 76-10-1207. I would send this by certified mail and send a copy of it to the regulatory body's.I would then notify the city where is the company is located that (Nude photos/ Pornography) is being filmed FOR PROFIT BY HIS OWN ADMITION IN HIS REBUTTEL. I would start off with business licensing and work my way down to the health department and then planning and zoning. there are regulations that these types of activities cannot happen within so many feet of a school or church. I think that in the spirit of the law 5.61.040, A.includes venues that engage in adult talent finding and take nude photography for profit. I bet it would not be very hard to get the mayors office or planning and zoning to agree. Letters to the editor can be persuasive.
In my opinion if I took your money and did not give the promised goods or services then I would stealing from you. It might be a good idea to reach out to local law enforcement and file a police report for theft fraud or whatever else the officer thinks is fitting. In my opinion what happened to you is a crime.
Ripoff report is a great form. However with somebody like this we need to push him out of business. complain to the government and regulatory bodies. Keep complaining and never take no for an answer.
I am not an attorney and this is not legal advise. This is just a statement to what I would do if I was taken advantage of by Bradly Lee Kotter.
I think this is the same guy....

#1 UPDATE Employee
Rebuttal of Gil Medina being a Con Artist and Scam
AUTHOR: Rival Talent - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, July 13, 2010
My name is Brady Kotter, I am the owner of Rival Talent LLC, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a licensed and practicing talent agent here in the state of Utah. I represent talent in several aspects of the industry; and have done so for a total of going on soon 9 years.
My rebuttle is in fact something that I have felt partially responsible for.
These are the facts:
The individual that posted this comment first of all I would like it to be known that I have actually had numerous problems with this talent in the past. Namely:
(1) The first incident that I had some negative issues with the person that made this negative post about Gil Medina had contacted my office looking for representation. She had indicated to me that she would like to begin work in the industry, and that she had no personal involvment with it whatsoever before this point; and also obvioulsy no experience. My agency is ran in such a way that I teach classes for my talent for those that wish to partake in them, all aspects of the industry. These include: How to audition, resume writing, simple things to learn how to do stand in work with, posing for modeling jobs, and many more. The individual did in deed take these classes, of which I did have Gil Medina actually be a guest speaker in this particular class that was taught that day, and hence this was the first initaial meeting of the talent.
That being said, she approached me and said that she would be comfortable doing some cam work. I had set up all the necessary documentation, done a photo shoot with her, (nude photos), and went through the process of getting her set up to do it. After some time, she never did end up doing any of the work she was booked on. That was her first warning. Normally when talent do this, I put them on a probation period in which I will NOT work them. Needless to say, nothing else did come of this, I counceled her of the problems that this action of her caused me, and I hoped that would be the lastof the problems.
(2) There are two more instances in where I had to repeatedly tell her about jobs, 5 different times on the same thing, in order for her to understand what was needed of her. The job that I had set up, was simple extra work. Which, if anyone has done this, you really don't need to know anything more than, where to go, what to bring and what to where, the time you are needed, and making sure to bring 2 forms of Identification with you in order to get monitary compensation.
(3) The incident that caused all of this problem in the fist place is as such. I had asked the individual who once again made the negative report about Gil Medina if she would be interested in doing extra work on this particular film he was working on. The role she was to play was a hooker or a junkie. It was not yet determined which she would do, until photos were submitted. There were speaking roles for some of the girls, and the others simply didn't have any, yet they were asked to flash breasts, or buttoxs for the scene.
She was in full agreeance of this, and at that time, we did take nude photos of her, as requested by the client for submission purposes. She also did this happily, knowing full well that was the paramater of the submission.
It was discussed that pay would possibly be $100.00 for compensation of this. The Pay was NEVER eventually agreed upon by the production company of Gil Medina. Instead, it was decided the talent that did the scene would instead recieve a "reel" with footage from the scene, and also photo stills from the film being shot. Also the fact that thier images and small clips of the scene would be portrayed in the trailer. All talent, including the one who made the negative posting, were all in agreeance to this. Also, all talent did sign a waiver and photo release in order to use thier images, voice, likeness, and otherwise depictions of them as such.
It is my feeling that the individual did not truly understand this, even though she signed documentation saying there was no pay, and also I feel that she was very upset that she indeed did not get the speaking role for which she auditioned for.
I am sorry that she felt this was an appropriate channel to go through to get this matter taken care of, when in fact, it has really only caused myself, her, and the client in question a lot of unnecessary and needless negative attention.
I will be happy to discuss this with anyone that has any comments or concers. As for the other comments concering Mr. Medina, I cannot say anything on anyone's behalf on those as I was not there, nor had any involvment whatsoever with him until about 5 months ago.
I do hope this clears this up, and my apologies to the talent that put up the post in the first place. I am sorry that you felt you didn't get what you wanted out of this. I also am sorry to have lost you as a talent. I do think you were a good talent, and I was looking forward to working with you.
Best Regards,
Brady Kotter
