They notify you that you have won $50,000.00 dollars and they send you a check in my case for$2,962.30 and that it is for to help pay for the tax and administrative expenses for International Clearance fees that are involved with your winnings. You are told to call this number and get instructions on what to do with the check you are to talk to Andrea Cohen I called and talked to Andrea and she told me to deposit it in the bank then call her back when it was in and I could get it out and she would give me instructions on what to do next.
Well I thought it was kind of funny and started looking things up on the internet. I first went to the bbb and it has nothing about it on there. So I just typed Global Processing Group and it lead me to your web sight. I am sure glad I did because I found out alot. They make it all sound so convincing I almost fell for it.
I am 63 years smart I guess that is smart enough to look things up before I leap. The check looks very real. also the check is written on Ameriprise Financial Service. 20002 N. 19th Avenue A-11, Phoenix, Az85027. Phone no.(519) 721-5208. Also at the bottom of the letter It has the name BARBARA JOPHNSON, PRIZE DIRECTOR.
I believe that this scam should be reported to all the news media and law inforcement agencies.
Thank you for your web site becasuer if it were not for it I might have went along with the scam as the bbb doesn't have any thing on it about it.

First of all, St. Thomas is a US Virgin Island, not a British one.
Secondly and more importantly, if you ever receive a check that (1) you did not earn, (2) you are not expecting to receive, (3) is for a very high dollar amount, it is a scam! Don't think that this is your lucky day. The only "grand prize" is the one that you will be giving to the issuer of the check once you cash it.
