global sweepstakes lottery I was called as I was writing a report about a similar call- I got the name, the company, and he wouldn't hang up- I had to laugh- and hang up! Florida, Florida

It was Global Sweepstakes Co.
I was writing a report about a series of calls I received last week, from a different co.
when I received another call from the above company -
'I was a sweepstakes winner!!'-
I got the name, Mr. Clemens, I tried to get the city, but he would only tell me Florida, and the name of the company, which I recognized from these reports...so when he wouldn't hang up - I did.
How do we get them to stop>?

By hanging up.
I don't want any gestapos in my house with their finger over my phone deciding when it should be hung up...so it is up to us consumers to realize there is no sweepstakes on EARTH that will require us to wire any funds to collect our winnings.
If anyone wins a sweepstakes, surely it does not become an inconvenience or complicated process to collect. I imagine they would send a limousine to pick me up and take me to some kind of office to sign documents at the very least?
As well, if you have to pay taxes on the winnings..that is between YOU and the IRS..not some a*****e on a phone or email. You deal with taxes AFTER you receive income..not before.
