*Consumer Comment: Anyone can stay here at Ripoff Report and type in- GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES, and that will take you to Betty's....
*Consumer Comment: Maybe you will get caught by GM's version of Universal Default?
Claimed delinquent credit which was unfounded. The only delinquent credit we were able to identify was a late charge from Wells Fargo back in 2001 which we knew nothing about.
Medium credit scores for both husband and wife were/are in the mid 700's. Had been GM customer for years without any delinquent payments.
Other charge cards no where near maximum limits.
Constantly receiving offers of additional credit from present charge cards. Additional credit being offered by new charge card lenders on a daily basis.

Your report claims that they have reached back rather far for something minor, and you have nothing more than your credit reports to refer to. What does GM say? Anything intelligent?
Perhaps next time they will find that you were late with a payment, such as you were late with your son's or daughter's allowance payment.......?
Well, it sounds like you know your solution. Make the GM card "low activity".
Maybe you have a credit union with a good & simple deal and no tricky reasons for imposing a default rate? I went 'my credit union' route. The T&C are very simple: pay on time and everything is fine and I get one screwup per year.
Most CC's offer 'great deals' with tricky reasons for imposing a default rate that are too complicated for most cardholders to really understand... until the cardholder 'gets burnt'.
