On 3-21-09 while driving to work listening to RUMBA radio station in Orlando, Fl, I called in to answer a question to WIN a vacation. I was told in about 2 vacation packages I had won and for a credit card to pay the taxes on the vacation that I had won to process my vacation. I pulled out my bank card and authorized the $290.00. Never during this or any of the 6 subsequent telephone conversation did anyone even mutter the word 'TIme share'. I asked them if it was a Time Share and they said what if it was wouldn't it still be worth the $290 for a 5 day 4 night vacation at a 5 start resort. I said staying at a nice resort for that kind of money is fine, but not if you have to do a time share.

I became a little suspicious so on 3-23-09, I contacted my credit card company to see what could be done to dispute this charge and they informed me that I could wait for the charges to appear on my card and then file a dispute with the credit card company.

On the same day 3-23-09 I contacted Go Relax Travel, LLC and spoke to Jackie who refused to give her last name and asked her how could I cancel this contest vacation that I won. She informed me that I could not cancel it and that I was obligated to keep it, but I could transfer it to someone else anytime within my 18 months that I had to take the trip. I told her that I wanted to cancel the whole thing she said I could not. She then informed me the next step was to sign and fax a reservation certificate which I would be receiving soon to enable me to obtain a reservation confirmation.

On 03-26-09 I put cancel where the signature goes and told them that they should have told me it would require me to go to ta time share and faxed it over to them.

On 3-27-09 (Fri), I called to confirm that they recieved my cancellation letter and what would they do to refund my money. Spoke to Jackie again and she went to look for my letter of cancellation. She went to look for my letter and told me she did not recieve it could I fax it again to the number she suggested (407) 363-1199, so I did. Sometime later I called back again to talk to Jackie and was informed that she had left already so the person helping me Mira went to look for my letter of cancellation she also said that she did not recieve the letter of cancellation could I send it again. I said I would send it from another fax machine just in case to make sure they would get it.

This is a horrible, manipulative scam to take advantage of regular people. Shame on this company and all the people who work for them learning word phrasing techniques to steal from innocent people.

The case continues.
