Called Gold Medal  services  because i  saw their  $93   Drain Cleaning  Special.  Technician  spent  nearly  two  hours  (most of the time  was dealing with the  Machine  he was  using  that  did  not   feed  or  retract  the  cable   properly)  initally the  access pipe in the  basement   was  clear   but  once I  would do  laundry   the   tubs  would not drain into the  sewer  line and I noticed  Dripping at the  access portal.  and  when  the technician  arrived   2/3/2013  the  basement floor  was dry and clean   the  tubs  were  empty.  but i knew as soon as  I  would  do a load of  wash   the back up  would begin.   I  did explain  to the  Tech  that  every  so many  years  there would be a blockage  from  "hair like roots"   and  thats  what  i  expected  him   to  find as  well,   and sure  enough  after a  hour  trying to get his  drain cable  machine  to work   he  pulled  out  a  clump  of  very thin  root  fibers.    i  left  him  in the  basement  to  handle a issue upstairs  since he was having more difficulty with the    cable  retracting,  half an hour later  he  called  out to me  and  had  me  flush the  toilet   (we only have one)   and  he said   drain  in  clear   but he  waters  travels  slow  but he  seem to think  he  cleared the drain.     4 days  later  after a load of  laundry was    completed    the  wash  tubs  backed  up,   I called  their  office and  they  send  they were sending two  technicians  and a camera man  over  the next  day,   meantime   the  backup  got  worse  and  it smelled.  finally the  cameraman  arrived as scheduled but  with out any other  service  technicians   when he went  down the  basement  and saw the tubs  full  and  the smell     he said  i needed  to get a special company  in to clean it all up  before  he would do anything  and told me  that we had  to dig  up the  front yard  and  replace the  entire  sewer line  (this was  done 15 years ago)  I  told him absolutely  not!   he left  stating there is nothing they  can  do.   I said  "what about the  30 day  warranty"   I was told  we are not sending any one  else  out   and they   finally  decided  to refund  my money  after I had our  township  sewer  authority  inspect  their  line  and  they  told  me  that Gold Medal has to live up to their  warranty  or  not  do business  in this  town,

Gold Medal   made a  problem   worse  that it  was before they  started.   it started  as  a  minor  blockage   is now a  Major one,  Gold Medal    really  wanted  to  make me  replace the  entire  line   dig  up   the  front  yard   this is their  angle   with the   $93   drain cleaning  special and  free  camera  inspection.   when I  told them  that is  not necessary   they then refused  to live up to their   work and  their   warranty
Yes I  was told  I  will be issued a  full  refund,  (have not received it yet)  but  that's  not the point   they were  unprofessional   when  they refused   to send  out  a  Drain Cleaning  specialist  to just  look at the problem,  all they  wanted  was to dig  up  my front  yard and  have it  cost  me  thousands  of  dollars.
