Gonnason's Boats sold travel trailer no brakes Kent, Washington

We purchased a new Forest River travel trailer with Lippert axels and brakes from Gonnason's Boats in 2011.  There were no working brakes on the trailer.  We took it back and the first thing they said is "Who installed your brake controller" because they know they didn't.  Instead of caring about safety and reputation, they immediately tried to blame someone else.

They towed the trailer with our vehicle and stated the brakes were fine.  We took it back two days later and they stated there was some grease on the magnets.  Obviously they must of been wrong the first time because the brakes did have something wrong.

But, the brakes still were not working.  So, we took it directly to another dealer, Poulsbo R.V. in Kent, WA.  They drove it 20' and said "You don't have any brakes on your trailer". 

Long story short, it took Poulsbo R.V. 5 weeks to fix our brakes.  Why?  Because the manufacturer of the trailer, Forest River, owned by Warren Buffett, and the manufacturer of the axels and brakes, Lippert, kept trying to downplay the problem and do as little as they could to fix the brakes properly.

The final solution after several attempts to fix the brakes, completly replace the axels and brakes.  The brakes have so far (as of Sept 2012) worked fine.

Biggest issue...why would a company blow off a brand new customer just days after purchasing a brand new trailer when it was a huge safety/liability issue?  Because they don't care about their customers, their customers childrens and loved ones, the other people (you and your loved ones) on the roads that their trailers are pulled on.

Oh, the state of Washington Attorney General's office said there was nothing they could do.  Thanks for watching out for the consumers AG!
