I ordered Indian hair care products from this website on February 23, 2005. Good Karmakola processes it's credit cards using Yahoo Shopping Cart. The item showed shipped on February 23, 2005 via UPS Next Day Saver shipping. When I contacted KarmaKola to get the tracking number, this is where I discovered that I could not reach the company. They have an address in Georgia, Virginia and an address in PQ, Canada. None of the following work: company email,address, phone number, and fax number.
I believe that KarmaKola is a fake eCommerce site. In the USA, I have contacted the following authorities to attempt to find anyone from this company to speak with: Yahoo, Better Business Bureau of Georgia/Virginia, BizRate.com, AXZEL, NetCheck,
and the US Internet Fraud Complaint Center.
On March 15, 2005, the merchant finally contacted me and stated that they were shipping my order and including $50.00 in the package.
Well, on March 18, 2005, I received my order and discovered that the hair products were not what I ordered and they were used and not in the original package. Basically, they did not send me what I ordered and it was used and the packaging was torn. Plus, they cheated me on the cost of the products and cost of shipping. I paid for UPS 2nd Day shipping for $ 24.91, yet they used USPS for a cost of $6.35. And, there was not a refund or $50.00 in the package. I have photographed the items that I did receive and compared it to their website (as EVIDENCE).
I am still pursuing my complaint with BBB, NetCheck and the US Internet Fraud Complain Center, and the Providence of Quebec.

O by the way my name is "Monique" not Monica. O I'm sure you got all my e-mail and you did a pretty good job at ignoring them. I'm not the scam artist here... I was the one who had their money taken and STILL HAVEN'T received my order. Thank you very much, so don't try to slander me by calling me the liar when I didn't do anything wrong. Trust me I wouldn't have gone out of my way to file the long annoying complaint forms if I was making up crap. I always order online and never had any problems until I ordered from your company. You are right I did get an email saying you sent my order, but it happened to be 2 MONTHS AFTER I ordered it and after I filed a complaint w/ yahoo and the IFCC.
What goes around comes around..it's call karma (lol)..its funny that u would name your company good karma

All I know it's almost been 3 months, and I've seen nothing. I'm just going to have to file a report with my bank and see if they can do anything about this situation. O well you live and learn. Next time I'll be careful not to order from a bogus company especially if they're sponsored by Yahoo.
And If do end up getting something in the mail.. I'll just throw it away anyways because I don't trust the person who made. I heard stories from other woman who said the producted looked used.
I guess quality means nothing these days. O yeah and honesty.
I'm not trying to sue or take anything away from this Good Karma person, they did a good job of that on their own. I just want other people, especially people who have integrity, to know u gotta be careful. Now when I want to buy something online from a company, I check them out. Or I use search, type the company's name or product name and I type " + scam" and it brings up websites or just comments people left of on messages boards..

IT MAY TAKE 2 WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF ORDER TO PREPARE THE PACKAGE AND SHIP IT TO YOU. WHEN YOUR ORDER IS SHIPPED WE WILL SEND YOU AN UPDATE WITH AN EMAIL AND TRACKING NUMBER IF REQUESTED UPS. We place orders on 'hold'until they are filled, then we process them and assign them a tracking number through UPS. UPS updates every 24 hours...so if you see your order on 'hold' it means it is processing!

Is my transaction secure?

Most credit card companies will not even hold you to the $50 as long as you promptly report your card stolen, once you know. BTW, do not pay for credit card "loss protection" That's the real rip off, according to the FTC.
How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and checks or money orders. Checks or Money orders may be sent, but this will cause a delay on your order as we cannot ship product until we have received the money order. Please make checks or money orders payable to: Good Karma. For faster and better service, we encourage you to use a credit card. This gives you automatic confirmation of your order and e-mail updates of the status. If you feel more comfortable calling your order in, please feel free to do so. How long will it take before my order is shipped?
We attempt to keep all items in stock. If something is not in stock, it should say so on the web site. Credit card orders generally ship with two business days of our receipt of your order. Orders paid via check or money order will ship in about the same time- once payment is received.
How long do I have to cancel an order?
You have until we ship to cancel your order. In many cases, that is not long. We often ship within hours of receiving your order- in some cases we may take a week or two due to the item being offered (if it is an oil, for instance- I have to make those). Once we have shipped, the order will be subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. If you refuse shipment on an order, you will be responsible for the shipping charges you, the shipping charges back to us plus the restocking fee.
Shipping times/policy
Our shipping policy is to send out orders within 2 weeks of receipt of orders whenever possible. If an item is temporarily unavailable, you will be informed and will be given the option to do a partial shipment or to send the whole order when the missing item comes in.

I have not received a refund yet. Also, I was contacted by a Fraud investigator on 5/2/05 who asked me to send all information related to this report. I had totally forgotten about this issue and consider the $55.52 a complete loss. I need to be very careful in the future about where I order Indian products. It is now out of my hand and is now in the hands of the fraud investigators.

Vashti murphy/graves or whoever she claims she is today is a fraud. her merchandise was sent to her TWICE..and she recieved a refund. she is also being sued by me for fraud!
The same with Monica. Her merchandise was sent to her, and she also got a refund from her CC company. I suggest you both read policies and procedures: www.karmakola.net/info.html and this will explain how everything works. Don't file fraudlent reports. My phone # works, I recieve all emails...and I got everyone of them from you, Monica. I even replied to yahoo and the IFCC about that fraudulent complaint about my company. They were notified you recieved a refund (as it was on my statement..I have proof that you did!) So I don't understand what your problem is.
I have never lived in quebec, nor did I have an address there, so I don't understand what crazy Vashti is talking about there, either...
People, get something better to do than report false claims against a reputable home run company that has been in business since 1998.
I'm not one of the 'big boys'...go after them...
