June 11th, 2014 I unfortunately took possession of a unit owned by Good News Church and Gordon Shipley, I was in need of a place to move he quickly approved me since I am a nurse and make good money with a good renters history, he did a very wuick walk through rushing me after I had worked All night. I wasgetting the feeling he was hiding something as he would barely open the bathroom or closet doors. The next morning we began to move stuff in when I stopped my family because I had found black mold, and water damage, I reported these issues to maintenance whom I met with the next day, who can't fix anything without Gordon's permission. my children could nit breathe in the basement due to the mold, the bathrooms were beyond nasty, truck stops are cleaner, the old toilet brush from previous tenants remained beside the molded toilet, the cabinets under the sinks all had old stagnant brown water stained in them with mold , there were old cigarette butts in the gap by the dishwasher and under the sinks, this townhome had been empty for a year and they never replaced the molded sheet rock, the linen closet had warped, lifted paint that fell off and crumbled when you touched it. when complaining that these issues were unacceptable, Gordon instructed me to return my key since I was above living there, he was very rude, narcissistic, and tried to intimidate me by raising his voice in a threatening manor, he charged me 50 $ for the molder closet, and stated I damaged it, I must be a rain cloud leaving puddles begging,he returned me half of my rent I paid since I supposedly had possession,we could not stay one night in this filthy place, Goberment housing looks better than these townhouse. I didn't want to stay there after seeing this behavior from a pastor this man is a hypocrite, liar, and a thief, I have picture s of all the mold and filth. God says let vengeance be thine for those who come against us. I have faith God will end this man's rein of terror and negligent behavior. Ihave faith God will take care of Gordon.
