Gosford Monitoring And Research Services/ Lisa Myers/ Brenda Davis Mystery Shopper Scam St. Laurent Quebec Canada

I received a letter and check via air mail from Canada from Gosford Monitoring and Research Services in Quebec, Canada. It seemed like an excellent deal and I was going to go through with everything, but luckily, when I tried to cash the check, the bank it was written off of was closed so we couldn't verify funds. When I got home, my husband had Googled the "company" off of gut-feeling. It turns out many people have filed rip-off reports against this "company." My husband also found reference to Cardinal Monitoring and Research Services. We have called the bank the check was written off of and reported this scam to them so they will be aware of what's going on. The check was for $3964.00 and from Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles, CA. The name of the company on the check is MCY III Trust, which we could not find any information on- this is probably a fake name. The address to MCY III Trust is Googled under a car lot at 21515 Roscoe Blvd. Canoga Park, CA 91304. We wanted to report this scam so others would be aware and not get themselves into something that could be harmful. I guess the old saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
