My father ordered two pieces of medical equipment from this company a week before he passed away, while in the hospital.  The equipment arrived at my grandmothers house and was never opened.  After my father passed away on 3/9/11 I called GoSouthernmd.com and spoke with Robert Remitz, I explained the situtation he was very understanding and said that I could return the equipment, but he would have to deduct the cost of the return shipping from my refund.  I asked him to just credit the credit card used when my father ordered the equipment.  He said he would schedule a pick up.  I told him that my grandmother has cancer and I was thinking of bringing the boxes to my house to have them picked up there.  He said "let me make this real easy for you just take the boxes to a UPS store and call me from the UPS store and I'll take care of everything". 

On 3/15/11 I took the boxes to the UPS store and called like Robert Remitz told me to.  The UPS store would not talk to him, they said it was their policy to not talk to anyone.  I told the person I spoke with at GoSouthernmd.com that I would take the boxes home and call them back from home.  I called back to see about a pick up from home and was told by the man that answered the phone that Elina would call me back.  I never got a call back so on 3/16/11 I called again to ask about getting the packages returned and Robert Remitz said that he had wasted enough time with me and he was sorry that my dad passed away but that was to freaking bad, he said he was not going to take 5 phone calls a day from me, I tried to tell him that this was only my 3rd called since my dad died and that I had done what he told me to do and gone to the UPS store but they would not get on the phone with him and then he so you just didn't want to pay the shipping, I told him that it was not a case of paying or not paying that we had talked about me calling him and he would handle it and refund the difference.  At this point I said to him that I was questioning how his company did business and he started yelling at me that now he was not going to take the equipment back and hung up on me.  I was upset since I am not used to that type of treatment from a company and was just trying to deal with my dad's death and everything that goes along with things after a death.  

After I calmed down I went back to his website and looked at their return policy and contacted them through their website this is what I sent-

 Please send me a RMA so I can return these items.  I
would also like the name and contact information for the owner, CEO or board
of director's.

 And this is how he replied he inclued several people from his company on this email.

This is NOT how business works Lynn and we are not wasting our time anymore.
You PAY to ship it back and then we will decide what to do from there.  It
clearly says this on our terms and conditions. 

The RMA number is your order number with a dash followed by RET.  Follow the
instructions on the website and I am the owner, CEO, etc.  Please do not
ever questions what we do again.  We have filled over 40,000 orders with not
a problem.  We go out of our way for people but I we will not assist you on
this anymore.  My margins are to small to walk someone through these steps
which can be easily followed on our site.

NO ONE AT GOSOUTHERNMD better respond to this.  ONLY ME.  I will not pay you
to spend your time anymore on this.

I have the orginal email and will be happy to share it with anyone thinking about doing business with this company or this man.  I also have the information from their website on how to return items and it states to call their customer service.  If you do business with this company you better hope you do not have problems and need to call because they will not help you.

GoSouthernMD.com Is The Best

We had a great experience with Robert and his company GSM.com, after a lot of research we found there price to be much less than any where else.



We ordered a new Pride Victory 10 3 wheel in blue and received it fast, from Dallas to Northern VA in 5 days, UPS damaged one of the wheels by ramming the box with a fork lift and Robert had a new wheel sent to us pronto and he is taking care of the claim with UPS, totally outstanding service.



We initially bought an Active Care scooter online from someone else at first but cancelled it at the end of the day we ordered it because they lied to us about the weight capacity that the manufacturer verified, this other company charged me $150 restocking fee which we were not able to recover, that is a ripoff to charge $150 to put it back in the warehouse.



You can rest assured gosouthernmd.com will give you outstanding service.

This customer ordered a product at the lowest price possible and then after our 15 day policy demanded that we take it back after the father died.  She used this as an excuse to get all her money back to make me feel sorry for her.  I do not since we deal with people all the time that sit there and wait for the loved one to die so they can cash in on all the medical products that both the government supplied along with the family usually the dying person.  This lady really has no clue what she is talking about nor does she come off as a saint here.  She is the one that was demanding and telling us what she is going to do and demanding that we give her all her money back.  What small business would do this after 15 days.  Look at our terms and conditions.  Yes, we have filled over 42,000 orders with no problem and except for the 2-3 % of what we call problem people.  These are people in retail that are SO demanding that we just try to get rid of them as fast as possible.  This is why we send them to our site to do it via email.  So, we do not have to deal with a demanding customer that no matter what we do we are wrong.  Even if there is many people/companies involved that have control over our order or situation.  This takes away from the other 98% that are wonderful customers and really appreciate what we try to do and that is the lowest prices in the industry.  Do you know that I am the owner and I elect to live in a small one bedroom apartment so that I can make sure my prices are low and give back to my community.  I drive a very modest car and I do not take advantage of anyone going on 14 years know in this business.  For this person to think that I would ever do this is criminal.  I spent hours with this person that wanted a full refund PLUS they wanted me to ship it back on my dime.  They refused to go to my website and do it like everyone else and follow the directions and now here I am on this ridiculous report to try and clear my name.  I am sure this person is real good and going to places like this to make people look bad.  But at the end of the day, who does it really hurt?  I am proud to say that I have a history of over 42,000 happy people and this person has no history what so ever. 

They sell the equipment of their loved one that passed away when it is owned by Medicare or some other insurance which is 100% illegal.  It is owned by the state or this country and we get calls like this everyday with people trying to steal from our country. This is a similar situation with this person trying to get as much cash out of a hard working America like me.  She should be happy that she is getting anything from us since it is past the terms and conditions.  I guarantee that this person is selling other equipment owned by her dad to try and pocket the cash for other reasons.  Most honest people donate it to another person of need like we do all the time.  We are GoSouthernMD.com and we are the little guy for the little guy.  Thanks for hearing me.  Sometimes people like this just need to get yelled at so they do not act like a spoiled little brat to some other hard working company trying to help.  We give the shirt off of our back if you work with us.  We try to find a solution but if you do not work with us and you are wrong then we try to get rid of you as fast as we can.  Life is too short to deal with people like that.  :)
