Government Grant Processing Center ripoff and fraud Las Vegas Nevada

Hello,

I am a teenager just turned 18. I am young and innocent and have also fallen for this scam. I am in desperate need of money;however, this seemed legit to me at the time.

1.)I spoke to someone at "Gov. Grant Processing Center," who told me I had a clean crminal record and my name was somehow forwarded to them from the government. So far so good...

2.) They told me my address and confirmed it (about five times). He said I was being granted $8,000 in exchange for a small "legal processing fee" of $257. He also stated this was a social grant and could be used for anything I wanted. As many others have stated he spoke fast with a very heavy accent. I also told him serveral times I did not have the money in my account and wanted to dicuss it with my parents. He said it was okay i had 5 days to cancel. Keeping in mind that after this i was told i couldn't cancel until 3 days before my scheduled date for them to pull my money, which is the very next day...i might add. This really got me going but i still went along. I said I wanted to number he said he couldnt give it to me and it would be given to me after I confirmed and given consent to take my money.

3.) Once my addy was confirmed (once more) he told me I was being tranfered to another line and like an idiot I gave away my tracking number and account number.

4.) I was a bit skeptical thus far... I was now being recorded. Everything was done they cooperated but seemed a bit pushy telling me there are millions of people in the US on the waiting list.
Once I hung up the phone and everything was said and done i was still iffy and decided to check online. Thank goodness this site has been made thank you RIPOFFREPORT.com you guys are wonderful! Thanks to them I found out about this scam and immediately called my bank and told them about these ppl. I close my account and am going to change it immediately.

ADVICE: If you have also fallen for this scam hopefully it is not too late! Call your bank immediately, tell them these ppl called and they have your accounts numbers and they are fraudulent. Put a lock down on your account NOW if you can do so online check!!! some banks with online banking allow you to do so... if you have 24hr banking call them NOW dont wait or read anymore! just go this will still be here.

MORAL:If it sounds too good to be true IT IS!!!!!!!!!

HELP: If anyone can reply to this I was just wondering what could this company dowith my voice? I changed my account but it hasnt been 24hrs yet! IS there something I should worry about I mean they have my addy! Im nervous will they haunt me down??
