Grace Stables and H.E.R.O. Harmony Equestrian Rescue Organization are owned by Sarah Shechners.

She uses two charities when one would do to obfiscate the truth.

The name Grace Stables implies that it is a charity that has a physical location. The stables (at the time of this writing) is Indeokweon Horse Riding Club in  Gyeonggi-do Uiwang-si Poil-dong 439-1. It where she boards her horses.

The business model Sarah runs is that of a private contractor working out of an exsisting busines. Where it be riding lessons or trail riding, she pays a horse rental fee to borrow the stable’s animals. She then  pockets the difference between what she charges you and what the stables charges her.

When she uses her own animals (2) the amount she pockets is higher. Prior to 2018 the only “rescue” of H.E.R.O was her thoroughbred. Her  lesson pony was rescued and rehabilitated by Kate Park—the financial burden of the rescue  was Kate Park’s. Sarah adopted the pony.

Sarah's definition of rescue is loosly any horses that the stable’s she has partnered with have bought cheaply and are there for training and resale. Ask her, "when this horse is trained, what will happen to it? Will it be adopted or sold? Outside of the stables, which of your charities recieves the benefits of my volunteer work?"

She may or may not get proceeds from the resale of any horses she has found trainers for. She does get discounts on horse board from the work her volunteers do.

The skinny palomino in the photo for her GoFundMe campaign is privately owned by the stables. It is not skinny because it was rescued. It is used for lessons and will look like this six months from. Sarah’s own horse is of questionable weight because she does not pay board out of her own pocket and then use the funds to supplement the hay or grain the stable’s feed. She simply uses it to ease the cost of keeping horses in South Korea.

Six months from now the palomino horse in the go fund me add will look just as skinny or skinnier. If you’re not sure, ask questions like"Do you have any before and after rescue photos. You've been doing this for five years. Do you have any photos of horses that have been adopted? Can you tell me some of your rescue stories? Hw much food will this donation buy?   How many children will my donation serve? How often does the charity perform charity events… once a week? Once a month? Once every six months? Once a year?

It is not wrong for her to supplement her costs of keeping horses. It is wrong to call it charities and use the connections that generates to self-promote her singing career. Finally, when you ride underweight horses, even if you feel it is for a good cause, you are still riding underweight horses. So when you go riding with Sarah, and the horses is underweight, just remember you're not helping horses. You're just going for a ride.
