In June of 2002 we were suckered into attending a HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH to get us to buy a TIME-SHARE in a condominium at GRAND REGENCY RESORT AT THOUSAND HILLS in Branson Missouri. We did not want to buy, but they kept us there for four hours, pitch hitting us with three dirrerent high pressure sales persons, until they wore us down.

So we bought the cheapest timeshare they had, because we were so tired and just wanted to get out of there. We were promised that if we didn't like it that they would buy it back. That was a lie. The never want to hear from you ounce the have your money. You can almost never get them to answer the phone when you call if you are paid in full. And they will never return your call when you leave a message.

We started getting calls from companies wanting to sell our timeshare for us. They all want their money up front. I was afraid it was another ripoff, so we avoided them for a few years. Then we were called by CENTURY 21, RESORT MART REAL ESTATE, and I thought that they were a well known company and would not want to damage their reputation, so we decided to pay up front $639 dollars (Which was about twice as much as all the other companies wanted to sell the timeshare for us). Their agent, Amy Spindle promised me that our timeshare would sell within a year or less. It has been 6 years and we have not heard from them. I even reported them to the BBB and still got no response, even though the BBB listed them as a risk, still no response.

You can never get rid of those timeshares once you buy them. The only way is to give it away, or just refuse to pay your exorbitant yearly dues and they will take it back from you, and you wind up with nothing for all that money you spent up front to buy the thing to begin with.
