After having my hair highlighted by foils four times at Great Expectations and paying 85-100 each time my fifth visit back was an unpleasant one. After arriving at my 10:00 appointment I found that my hairdresser was not there. I waited 45 minutes for my hairdresser to arrive and when she did she showed up with her two kids. Her two kids stayed present during my entire two hour appointment which usually took her three and a half hours. She foiled my hair and then placed me under the drier.

After less than ten minutes she took me out from under the drier which would usually be after a half hour of being under the drier. After my hair was finished I paid the 85 dollars and left feeling rushed, but never said anything. Later when I went home I noticed that my hair had many brassy, orange streaks and a distinct line where she had just colored my hair. I also found that after just five days I had almost half an inch of roots.

I made an appointment to speak to the manager and explained the entire story of how I felt and what had happened. She told me that when you highlight your hair each time you do it it continually looks worse and worse and shows where you rehighlighted it not always matching the previous color. She told me that I could fix this by simply buying some shampoo. I continued to express my unhappiness as she gave me the cold shoulder and treated me as if I was the problem.

She told me that I could have a merchandise credit. I told her that I would rather have cash explaining that I never wanted to return to her salon. She told me in order to recieve cash the owner had to approve it. I waited three weeks with no response from the owner or the manager.

Later my father called to speak to the owner claiming that he had a complaint for her. We were promised a call back within the next day. No call was ever recieved. It's sad to think that as a client I wasn't worth a phone call. Not only did they lose me as a customer, but my mom and sister too.

I'm twenty years old and have never felt so taken advantage before in my life. This hair salon is a rip off and I suggest that if you're looking for a hair salon in the Manchester are look somewhere else.
