Great Expectations ripped me off of thousands of dollars ripoff Independence Ohio

I first learned about Great Expectations dating service through a internet pop-up ad.I looked at it and thought I would give it a try,seeing that they touted themselves as "the best dating service on the net". So then,after I filled out a questionnaireabout my personal income,etc,a rep called to set up a time for me to come in for an informal interview.

A few days later I went into their office for my interview. One of the reps tooked me into her office and started explaining to me about how it would really be benifical to me if I joined the service. She showed me a video about how the service would supposedly work for me and how it brought people toghether who had the same interests. After that she brought in a sheet of paper which had listings of prices on the service. I asked her how much it would cost for the 3 month subscription she said the company offered and she said,$39.95. But,in a way, I feel she was trying to pressure me into signing something I wasnt totally commited on yet. But I felt like I had nothing to lose since I could cancel within 3 days of signing the contract.

So,after signing, I went home to review my information in my folder. When I came across the sales reciept, I was shocked. It had the price as$3,995.00!!. I thought it was probably a typing mistake and I could get it corrected.

I called their office and asked them to correct it, but they said that was the correct price and that it encompassed 16 months and I would not be able to get a refund.

I feel like they scammed me bigtime because their rep was not being truthful about the prices on the membership and thus I feel I was conned into signing the contract. I want to knpw If there is any legal action,(like filing with small claims court)that I could take to try to get my monry back. I would appreciate if you could call me and notify me if a particular firm has interest in my story. Thank you.
