Great Poems of the Western World They sent me a Certificat of Excellence certifing that I was a Famous Poet in thier 2008 Poetry contest and that I could buy the book my poem was to be published in for $29.95. I looked this up on the internet and I don't think they exist. I found this website and realized I had been ripped off. They tried to get me to purchase other things such as, Dedication $5, Photo $10, Illustration $10.00, Extra poems $10 per poem, Biography $10, Shipping and handeling rate of $5 and other such stuff. The list goes on and on. I was really proud of this honor until I realized it was all a scam. Talent Oregon

I am writing in hopes to ease your fears. Hoping you will try again with this company. I received the same letter and took a chance and sure enough it came to me the book. About 7 months later though. I hope this helps and you try again.    I wish you the best of luck in your poetry in the future. It has paid off for me. She was the first to publish me. Since then it built my self esteem and I've been in four different books now.   

I know it is hard to trust these publishers but sometimes you just have to jump. Some may be a scam but then again some like Lavender in her Book Great Poets Of The Western World are legitimate.  The only complaint I have about her book she did is I think she shouldn't of allowed pictures of the people to be put in. It cheapened it a little. That's my only complaint. Best of luck to you.
