On April 25,2006 my husband and I when to hear about Great Escapes Vac. Club at 385 Inverness Dr. South, Ste 140, Englewood, CO. We were promised $200.00 in gasoline coupons just for showing up and listening to their sales pitch.

After the pitch we signed up to join. We were to receive 3 short trips with only a small deposit from us. We received lots of paper work to fill out and send away with the deposit checks to receive our gift trips for signing. That is the last we heard of our free gas or trips reguardless of the calls we made.

That night we also signed a Understanding and Acknowledgement statement that said we would receive a montly news letter to let us know about other trips available (#10 of statement). We were to receive a new member orientation class in 30 to 60 days (#16 of statement). We made more calls all ignored.

We booked a trip thru them in the summer to Flordia. We were to receive Advantage Dollars (like a credit to be used to lessen the cost of furture trips). We were told to save the airline and rental car receipts and mail them in after the trip for our Advantage Dollar credits. (#14b of statement).

When we return from our trip I called to find out where to send the receipts for our credits just to be told we did not use the right airline and car rental company. No credits were due us. They booked the trip and told us to save the receipts for the credits.

After 7 months of calls and a certified letter we contacted a lawyer. Yes we had had our first run in with a bunch of crooks. This vacation club has cost us $6,100.57 and we have not received anything but headaches from this company.

Great Escapes says it is not their fault because they name their different departments with different company names and they all cheat you out of your money and do nothing the promised.

Beware of Great Escapes Vac. Club, Select Travel L.C., Advantage Travel, Certs Inc., Advantage Travel-CO Fair Financial Services. They have different names but they all whine "It's not my fault some other dud done it". But they divide up your money and laugh because there has no one to stop them yet.

In Mar. of 2000 the Federal Trade Commission slowed them down for awhile with some very pricey fines but they are still cheating people from Tx. to Mich.
