Green Dot Handicapped Aid Program - XPcloseout.com Was about to order a laptop from this site when I remembered Ripoff. The C. Reynolds in CA last year is almost an exact scam, not saying this is, but, looks identical!!! Asking to pay through Green Dot which is like a money transfer, Correct? The order form has a spot to enter the transaction# so person picking up the cash doesn't have to show ID. Monrovia California

Just doing some research before ordering a laptop that seems to good to be true and to help aid the handicapped.....On Ripoff and noticed a similar listing people were reporting last year, just type in "handicapped aid program" also in CA, also to aid handicapped, although victims were sending personal checks in response to a postcard. I just did a search for refurbished laptops and they popped up. Started wondering when the site listed payment method of Green Dot, more secure transfer for a scam...no checks to cash, prob don't even need to show ID to get the cash. Has anyone ordered a laptop from this company, is it real???? Wanted to alert everyone to the similarities in both Green Dot and C. Reynolds.

I would stay away from this one. An e-mail to their contact address went unanswered after 48 hours (in all fairness, so did an e-mail to GreenDot Corporation itself inquiring about their sponsorship of this charity). The BBB of So. California recommends to proceed with caution when dealing with this organization. An e-mail to the Charitable Trust Division of the Attorney Generals' Office of California indicated they had no information on this organization. Also, a Site called myfreepcstore.com appears to be nearly identical to xpcloseout.com but their Fax Order Number is indicative of a location in North Dakota !!

Hope this helps in your decision .....
