Purchased a pre-paid Visa with $300 cash for online use. Card could not be activated  and Green Dot says my money will be refunded by check in 7-10 days. I don't believe I will ever see my money again after discovering this website and the countless fraud warnings posted about Green Dot. I am so pissed, why is everything in this world a scam in wich we are defenseless?

Hey Coast, you were out of line here

Normally I agree with your rebuttals, but this wasn't someone who stupidly overdrafted their checking account, or paid a bill late, and then whined about the consequences. You attacked this consumer without just cause, and when you do things like that it takes away from the legit posts you make. Whatever Green Dot did or didn't do, should or shouldn't have done, the customer posted about their unpleasant experience, and pending further details that would make the customer out to be the party at fault here, nobody ought to be attacking them.

A stupid a** who's glad that he knows the difference between your and you're.

A ripoff is still a ripoff, spelling irrelevent.

People wouldn't need these cards if there weren't soo many scammers out there.

Be safe, you know the bank doesn't have your back.  They will try to squirm their way out of anything.

You always make blind accusations on illogical emotions? I have not scammed anybody, and do not have financial issues. I simply wanted a prepaid for online shopping. A hating troll like you thinks your so smart by accusing without knowledge. You are stupid.

If you had not scammed your bank then you would be permitted to get a checking account with a debit card.
