Geeks offers an unconditional 30-day money back guarantee that covers
cancellations of a web hosting account made during the first 30 days of
service, due to the inability to deliver satisfactory services. As a
part of our strive to achieve industry leading customer satisfaction,
the customer will be refunded all hosting charges made to their credit
card minus any setup fees or domain name costs which are
non-refundable. The guarantee does not apply to accounts with non-use,
misuse, and/or abuse of this agreement. Domain name registrations are
also non-refundable.Domain Names transferred to our service incur an
additional year of registration and therefore are considered a domain
registration. Domain registration fees are $24.95/yr. Domain names of

They don't honor their own refund policy. They won't refund your money. They will not talk to you over the phone if you are in dispute with their services. They will call you however to get a quick payment.
Proof: Their response if you actually use the resources you are paying for. This company does not give you what you pay for!!! Beware - You've been warned.
We do not discuss abuse related matters via telephone for
documentation purposes. Your account was suspended for excessive use,
causing the server to have increased I/O. Since suspending your
account, the I/O has been reduced to more reasonable levels. You will
have to upgrade to a dedicated server to continue to run this account as it's outgrown the shared hosting environment.

It is a possibility that the customer who originally posted the report didn't completely comprehend the package they were paying for. The reply of the staff member suggests that the customer was using their services incorrectly.
As for the reply stating that they do not discuss such "abuse related matters via telephone for documentation purposes" make complete sense. Not only does it protect them, but it can also help protect you if, for some reason, you take GreenGeeks to court.
GreenGeeks is a wonderful, eco-friendly web hosting company. One of the main requirements for satisfactory services, such as any other web hosting company package, is that you must completely comprehend the services you are receiving so you don't abuse their services. If you don't understand the verbiage used, for it may seem confusing at times, ask someone who knows about the internet industry verbiage to help you understand what you are contemplating to buy.
