I bought a 1999 Ford Expedition in May 2009 from these guys for $8995. I have to admit that i was late with the first payment by 10 days. I brought my payment to them and they were supposed to forward it to the finance company. They never did.

The finance company kept calling me about the 1st payment and I kept telling them that I gave the cash to the dealer. W went back and forth and eventually was told by the dealer that they bought the note back from the finance company and I should make my payments directly to the dealer, which I did. 3 months later, a guy from the finance company showed up at my door to repossess the car. I showed them all the receipts of the payments I made to Green Light and they didn't take the car.

In the meantime, I still hadn't received my registration. I received a letter from the DMV saying that the check that Green Light gave for registration was returned. I asked Green Light and they said they would take care of it right away. I offered to pay the registration and just deduct it from my monthly payment, but they said they would take care of it.

During the course of this time, Green Light would call me sometimes up to 10 times a month to see if I could make my payment or pay the car off. I finally told them my due date is the 17th and to call me only if I was late. I asked them again for my registration and they gave me one of those pieces of paper that says I just bought the car and that would be good for another 90 days.

I told them that wasn't good enough and needed the registration. In the meantime, i was pulled over by the CHP for having expire tag, but when I showed the CHP officer the tag he instead wrote me a fix it ticket for the window tinting. In November, I called Green Light againa sking for the registration and was told that once I made my November payment I would have my registration within 24 - 48 hrs.

On December 15, 2 days before my payment was due, I called the DMV to check on the registration. The car still wasn't registered and the DMV advised me to file a complaint with the DMV Investigations unit against Green Light. I also went to my lawyer to discuss the situation. I refused to make my payment after all this.

On Dec. 29, I once again called the DMV to check on the registration, and, once again, found out that the car still wasn't registered. I then decided to call the Vehicle Warranty company PRco. Green Light charged me $1,695 for Vehicle Warranty and $595 for gap Waiver. Neither once of these was submitted to Prco so there was no valid warranty in place.

I then filed my report with the DMV Investigations and my lawyer also filed a demand letter to Green Light. I refused to pay them anymore money until the terms of my demand letter were met - asking for my down payment back and my payments. In return, I would give them the car back.

On Saturday, Jan. 23rd, Darby (who said he was from Topaz Financial) came to repossess the car. He said that the car had been registered since December , which I knew wasn't true. he further said that Topaz Financial now owned the note to the car and not Green Light. So it was Topaz Financial that was repossessing the vehicle.

I went to Green Light's lot Sunday night and saw that the vehicle was there. I called Topaz today (Monday) Jan 25 and spoke to an officer there. Topaz did not repossess the car and had not bought the note yet. They were in the middle of negotiations for the purchase of the note.

These guys are really really crooked!
