Conseco - Green Tree ripoff we are only two months behine on payments and yesterday we sent in 450.00 and are now demanding august 15th payment they are telling us now that a rit has been issued they will not work with us they said trailor owners have no rights they stated it was a judgekment i called our county courts no record Minnesota

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

we feel behind our payment due to the fact we were taking care of three grand babie, which are home with our children now. we mailed in a payment yesterday, called them to give them the control number, and was told you should have not done that, we issurd a rit. i said we never went to court. they told us we as mobil home owners has no right. we have called many attorneys, adn cannot get no help.

we checked with the circut and district court they have nothing filed. we have been threatened, everyday we get these very bad calls from green tree, adn for some reason our payoff is way more than what we aplied for. they are scam artists and are getting away with it. there has to be something we all can do. they will not return our calls, but only call us starting early in the morning till sometimes 9pm at night. they have called my spouse at work and harrassed him, and also our family members telling them what is going on. this is wrong.

The harassement that you are suffering is a standard practice with these people. This is the way that they can get as much cash flowing into the company as possible at any time.

They have no regard for you as a person. No regard to you as a one fellow human to another. Bring in the cash as much and as fast as you can.

And no they do not write things down for they do not care if you are right or not. They have a quota that they have to meet and they are given instructions to get you to pay in any method that will work. A lot of the letters that you get will be from a stack of form letters. Sometimes if you really have to wait for the letter from an actual attorney before you panic. I know it it hard but it is a good game they paly with your head.

This pattern of behavior has been going on for a very long time. And until someone brings them down it will continue.

[DELETED]I do wish I could be of more help but I felt you should know that you are not alone in the problem. It is nation wide and we are all looking for a way to BRING THEM DOWN.

What to do

I had to file chapter 13 bankruptcy because of this company. I took it out for five years which means they have to deal with bankruptcy court and not me. They can't harrass me or they will be in violation of the federal statutes of no contact whatsoever. I know that bankruptcy is not always feasable or is undesirable but in this case, they deserve to get back some of what they have been dishing out to others.

GreenTree/Conseco we have had problems with them also

We have had problems with them also but have learned to deal ONLY with the branch manager, not the collectors in the local branch. Our situation is totally different, we have an ongoing investigation, and a possible buyer for our mobile home, but found that if we dealt only with the manager we got things done and had the number of calls reduced. One call we had after dealing with the manager was a threat that the loan was being defaulted. We reported this to the manager and to whom we spoke to. Yesterday we got another call from another idividual from the same department. Not our "regular" collector that had threatened the default. Have no clue if she was fired, but she had never updated any information as she was told to by the branch manager and this lady did update all the information! Get names of people and talk to Branch managers only. You can always write to their legal department at:
