The group lotto is a rippoff company and I dont understand how they stay in business. I started playing group lotto about one month ago with the promise that it was free. Ever since I stated to play there games, they started to send me e-mails saying that I had won ant where from $1-$2,500.
The e-mails also stated that all I had to do to claim my prize was to register and play all ten games, I was supposed to be notified by E-mail later of how much I won. The only thing they e-mailed me was more pages stating that I had not played and that I needed to play to recieve my money.
I feel that they used me to send junk mail, and pop up ads to my e-mail address, and I have yet to recieve the prize that I should have won.
P.S. I have have E-mailed the company three times and have yet to recieve an answere to my questions

HEY HELLO HI!
I just want to say that I used to think that all of this free lottery was a scam also. I have received a check for the money I won freely, in fact I just won another million dollars and they have even responded to 3 emails that I have sent to them to make sure I get the money claimed in time.
They also notified ME that I had won even though I do check my daily emails, I receive on an average day 200 emails in my inbox not counting the bulk mailings. This is my rule of thumb about emails & spam. If you have a spam blocker on your email, then the emails that actually make it into the inbox are REAL and not scams on the most part. If you have won some money and you cannot seem to get the money, just hit reply and respond to them letting them know that you need assistance and to please email the exact instructions to claim your money.
If all else fails, track the company down do searches using names, addresses or any kind of information to locate a phone number so that you can make 1 person responsible for your case. If you go to search I have even typed a phone number into the search spot and it has brought up every email/posting in reference to that particular phone number. I had one company call and say I had won a prize, and I just started tracking them with a phone number.
Then I actually took my search from New york to a local prize clearing house in my state. This sounds like it takes alot of time but actually this is a quick process and also any challenge gives me something to do. I like being able to find what I am looking for and I am sure that you will too. I will let everyone know when the 1million gets here!

Not Just Spam - they got your email address from thier own site.

Group Lotto's $1.00 to $2500.00 emails urging you to respond are not just spam - they get your email address from thier own site when you are directed there from some other site. Catherine, you are being a real #@%$tch in your rebuttal; it is not unreasonable to expect that, when a "sweepstakes" company gets back to you via email that you have won a prize, you should be entitled to collect. I do have a problem with GL and think they are crooks but YOU don't have to heap abuse on its victims as well.

What do you expect from Spam?

I'm sorry but do you respond to all spam? This is clearly a sure fire case of a company trying to get you to play their games or give them your hard earned money to their greedy little hands. No one is going to give you a free lunch you should know that by now. Get over it and get a spam blocker on your email and go on with your life.
