Dear all
I have a bit of a problem with an internet guitar seller by the name of Guitarplaza.com. In February 2004 I ordered a Jackson SL-2H in green ghost flames which they maintained they had in stock. On February 17 I received the following confirmation:

thank you for your order of the Jackson SL-2H in green ghost flames...the guitar will cast $1856.00 + $225.00 for a total of $2081.00...this guitar....Bank transfer info is below.

Once the funds have been received the guitar and hard case will be packaged and BAX Global (Burlington Express) will deliver the package to the Nearest Major Airport.

The funds were received on February 26. On June 29, I was informed that the guitar they claimed they had in stock wasn't produced by Jackson anymore.

I then ordered a SL1 Pile "O" Skulls which they also maintained they had in stock. And guess what happened? Nothing, as almost expected. On October 25 I wrote them the following e-mail:

Any news about my guitar (expected delivery date or something along that line)? It's now been more than eight months since you have received the funds. And guess what? I did not even get an answer.

So what I'm trying to tell you here ist: Don't deal with these people, they'll rip you off.

I am aware that this problem has nothing whatsoever to do with Fender, but if we are really talking about a disresputable dealer here the whole thing could reflect on Fender also, especially as I intend to inform every single guitar magazine in their respective forums in the U.S. and in Europe about the whole thing.

This person received a full refund long ago for the guitar they orderd from us....Here's our response to their claim we ripped them off..... This customer ordered a jackson usa custom shop guitar from us. The customer new the guitar was not in stock and was to be special ordered. They agreed to wait for the guitar to arrrive, which was 3 to 6 months. Meanwhile, Fender was purchasing the Jackson guitar company and cancelled all our special orders, including the one for this customer. The guitar they wanted was no longer being produced and we lost our jackson dealership. They then asked for a different guitar, but we could no longer supply them with a jackson guitar. So we refunded the customer in full. The customers statements are false and slanderous. We have documented email from him to back this up.

Thanks for posting this. I was about to drive down to GuitarPlaza today to place and order for a new Jackson, but their web site does not list their store opening times. I tried to get the info from Google and I ended up here. I placed my order with another store in Fort Lauderdale instead.
