We had a home built by Gunstra Builders in April 2007. This was the biggest mistake we have ever made. Not only is the product complete crap but so is their warranty and service agreement. No one will answer phone calls or emails and no one will EVER get a hold of you to fix the work they are required to do. Once Gunstra Builders receives their money for the home, you are out of luck in terms of getting them to uphold their end of the warranty agreement. They could honestly care less.
The house itself is poorly made with the cheapest materials available. Not only that but they cut corners everywhere they can to save THEM money not you. If you don't believe us, come look at a Guntra house a year after it was built and see for yourself. We have been fighting with them for over a year now to fix things that we in the warranty agreement and we have had to file several compliants with our local Builder's Association. We don't know what is next, lawyer??
The salesperson who sold us the house flat out LIED about the final price. They gave us the sales agreement and then nickel and dimed us to an amount which was $10,000 over budget!!! And we got stuck paying it although Gunstra Builders could never really give us a plain reasoning as to where exactly that extra money went. It sure did not go towards the quality of the house.
I am warning anyone out there to seriously reconsider before they purchase a home through Gunstra. Do not be swept up by their "promises" and "happy shiny rainbows." It is all a lie. All they want is your money. After they get that you might as well consider yourself removed from their memory.

Sadly during this terrible recession Gunstra builders closed their doors, and this is many years after I left the company. I only left because I started my own business! Bruce Gunstra was the best employer anyone could have ever ask for, I purchased a Gunstra home and lived in it 16 years, this home was the best of the best, very well built and never a problem. I can say the same for my neighbors homes whom Bruce Gunstra built, and well over 100 other homes I sold while employed by this great builder. Everyone for many years told me how happy they were with their home, and how many of them wanted to buy their next home from Gunstra! The sales people I worked with were some of the finest I have ever worked with in over 26 years of home sales experience, again Mr. Bruce Gunstra was honest, fair, and always willing to go any extra measures to make customers happy. Believe me in 26+ years of new home sales there is always someone you will never please no matter how hard you try, this is a perfect example of that person! Should Bruce Gunstra ever go back into business, I highly recommend buying a home from him, you won't be sorry! And by the way, the warranty, it was a H.O.W. warranty, purchased by the builder from a national company, for the customer, the best warranty available nationally!
