I placed an order for the Hair Made off a T.V. Commercial on 01/09/04 which advertised the Hair Made stand for 19.95 and if you placed your order now they also would add for free, the bonus pack which included hair dryer and two brush set and all you pay is S&h and applicable taxes. This came to 32.41. By the end of 02/04, I had'nt recieved anything so I called to check status of my order. At this time, the run around started. It took 3 weeks before I ever made contact with anyone. When I did, I was informed my order was lost. Another 2 weeks go by, I finally get an order # and it's on it's way. Finally, 03/17/04 I recieved pkg but only recieved the stand. I tried making contact again to find out where my bonus pack is and it starts another run around. I've heard everything but they kept telling me the bonus pack was sold for 14.99. I offered to send dthem the tape of the T.V. ad where I got the ad from, they had the same ad posted on their web site, all stating this bonus pack was free, minus s&h. Jai Malken and Namita Lakhai both stated they had sent the bonus pack out to me. Namita Lakhai still says its being sent to me for all my trouble, not because it's part of my order I paid for. Anyway, it's now April 29,04 and I have yet to recieve th bonus pack. Yesterday, some lady called me from Hair Made and said Jai Malken was no longer with the company and they had seen where my bonus pack was suppose to have been processed and never was. Who ever this was that called assured me that she herself had put the bonus pack out with FedEx Ground, yesterday. I've already heard this twice before, so we'll see. But for all the others out there, beware of The Hair Made Company. So far, the stand seems to be nice, but it's not worth the 32.41 alone. The bonus pack coming with it is what drew me to it from the beginning.

False Rip-off Report about Hair Made, Jai Malkan, Namita Lakhia

Whomever it may concern,
This rip-off report on your site is false and far away from the truth of the matter.

Debi Stanfield placed an order by Check on January 15, 2004 which was verified and received in our system on January 20. Normally, it takes up to 3-4 weeks for us to process check orders. Around the time of her order, we were slammed with hundreds of thousands of orders of Hair Made and hence it was taking us minimum 4-5 weeks to process each order. Also, our TV ad clearly shows "Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery" which is also mentioned at the call center when the order is placed.

When we processed her order, we sent her order information to our fulfillment house on March 8. Due to some unavoidable downtime with their system all orders during that week were shipped 1 week late. Her order went out via USPS (tracking # 9102 1033 6569 3366 8429 13) on March 17 and was delivered to her on March 22 at 09:43 AM per our tracking records.

When Debi called in complaining about not receiving the package, we tracked the package and it showed as delivered on March 22. However, just on her request, we reshipped her order via FedEX ground (tracking# 117432430137404) on March 16 which was delivered on March 17 at 09:16 AM.

After she received this package, she called in with another complain about not receiving a Bonus Pack as mentioned in the advertisement. We verified her order and told her that she did not agree to pay the additional shipping and handling charges ($14.95) for a $50 value Bonus Pack offered at no cost as advertised in the TV ad. She kept on insisting that she has to have the Bonus pack regardless. Our customer service department being nice, promised her to send a Bonus pack for absolutely FREE (not even charging shipping and handling per our terms) just to make her a happy and satisfied customer after delayed processing and shipping. This Bonus Pack was shipped via FedEX ground (tracking# 117432430161867) on April 27 and was delivered on April 29 at 09:21 AM.

To justify the payment she made against the order she order a Hair Made hair Dryer stand (Order # 210020) for $19.95 + s/h $9.99 + taxes $2.47 (because she is a resident of Texas) = $32.41 order total.

We strongly recommend that this rip-off report be immediately removed from this site as it is far away from the truth of the matter. On top of this, we as a company have gone out of our way to satisfy our customer by shipping her two orders against one ordered, offering and shipping her free products and bearing the cost additional shipping and handling which she never paid for. We can provide you with all tracking information as mentioned above to support what I have mentioned above.

Also, Jai Malkan is still working with us and has personally talked to Debi few times and has offered every possible help. Information about her and someone calling Debi is absolutely false and seems made up.
On this case, we feel as being ripped-off by the customer while looking at the history of her order as we ended up shipping her items worth $124.83 against her payment of only $32.41. We suggest you make direct contact with us before publishing any such reports about our business and practices as knowingly or unknowingly, it hurts the reputation of our company.
