I had gone to this dealership to trade in my 2001 PT Cruiser.I initially wanted a 2007 Versa or a sentra, but they had chosen a 2005 Dodge Durango with a dvd entertainment system and a navigation system. I signed a contract, which stated that Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. was going to finance the vehicle. then the finance manager told me congratulations on my purchase.

then seven days later, I received a phone call from a sales manager telling me that they couldnt find a bank. I told them that I had a bank on the contract and he went on to tell me that the sale fell through and that he was sorry (yeah right!).

So I went to the dealership on monday April 30th and spoke with the general manager. he told me that he had an approval from another bank and will find one. So, I had waited two days and called to ask the if they found a bank, the sales manager told me they were still finding one.

then I received a call from a different sales manager and he told me to return the car because they couldnt find a bank which means that they have lied to me and breached a contract.

I filed a complaint to the Virginia Consumer Affairs and they have basically backed up the dealership. I complained to the BBB and they had sided with Hall. I guess its because the membership dues they are paying the BBB. So if anyone lives in the hampton roads region, dont go to any of the Hall's dealerships.

What do you mean "they had chosen"? Who was buying the car -you or them? If you wanted a 2007 Versa or Sentra why didn't you buy one? Financing is better on new cars anyway. You were a victim of the famous scam that allows you to drive away without secure financing. You should have left the truck there until financing was approved. This procedure is illegal in a number of states.

It isn't your fault. If you had a firm contract that stated that NMAC had financed your vehicle then you are in the right in my opinion. Contact a lawyer and forget Consumers Affairs and the BBB.
