In early April I signed a contract with Naman Hotels to provide carpet cleaning. My clients include, Marriott, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott, and Hilton. We serve the number one Hilton Hotel in the US. (Columbia, SC)

Our relationship was good. We provided an excellent service and the Patels paid on time. Then came Solomon Zadeh. I got a call one Friday pm demanding that I travel 3 hours to clean his hotel carpet or he would find someone else. I have a contract with the owners. Solomon then questioned me on my methods and stated that he owned his own carpet business. He wanted me to use his equipment. His equipment is obsolete. I immediately smelled a rat and called the owner and told him that I would make him happy. Upon arriving, we found a mess. The carpet appeared to have never been cleaned. The return water was black. Solomon had been cleaning the carpet himself with his maintenance man. I then noticed that 1 out of 8 housekeepers used vacuums meaning that the hotel rooms were never vacuumed. I also observed no disinfect procedures despite having the best chemicals Ecolab. Solomon did not show until one hour before we finished the next day. He said he was very happy with the job. We left. That following Monday, I get an email from the owner stating that Solomon wasnt happy and that I should return.

We returned in several weeks. Upon arriving and after making an appointment, Solomon would not let us clean. In summary, we stayed 3 days to do 22 rooms. While there we again observed no vacuuming. The housekeepers were sweeping the carpet with brooms. The toilets and showers were wiped down with water. After talking to the housekeepers, they told me that Solomon was a liar and spoke out of both sides of his mouth. He was also never present on property. That was evident as we observed. He and his wife jointly manage the Holiday Inn Express across the road. They are employed by Naman Hotels.

I found out today that I lost the business based upon Solomon's opinion. In total, 23k was lost in addition to the losses incurred to keep this idiot happy.

In summary, beware of staying at either property. I know the owners and they seem to be good people but are easily influenced by the dead beat managers who are never on sight. Training is non existant meaning you only get clean linen. There is no standard of cleanliness.

The housekeepers also told me that they felt that Solomon was not an American citizen and was not paying taxes. I did confirm that he and his wife are Afgan Naitonals....not US citizens.

I have long defended the Indian hotel owners against everyone's wishes but I must tell you that I have never seen or done business with an Indian owned hotel that is completely legit. If you know hotels and look close enough, they are always trying to beat the system. In this case, an American lost 23k. Their General Managers confirmed this to me. I also have photos of vacant and ready rooms that have trash spread throughout the carpet and under the beds.

I know this guy. He runs his own carpet business on the side. His wife runs the hotel across the street. He peddles his services in Savannah and surrounding cities. You were getting to close for comfort and stepped on his turf. This same guy is never at the hotel. His American employees run the joint because his English is not good. His employees hate him and say he is liar.

You may should check into whether he has a resident alien card. His auto tags always had various states ranging from Alabama to North Carolina. I was never sure what state he was from.

Naman Hotels thinks he is loyal but they need to actually inspect the property. While I worked there, the housekeepers rarely every vacuumed a room. They spent most of their time smoking behind the hotel.

I would never work for or ever stay in an Indian owned hotel. 99% of them are deadbeats who come to the US and think they can impose their culture on us. Leave them in India. DOT HEADS!!!
