Harbour Run Apartments Security Deposit Owed Money Mentor on the lake Ohio

Harbour Run apartments went under new ownership towards the end of 2013. The new owners seem to have a good idea of what changes they want to make to better the location but luckily I was able to get out of this hellish living space. I finished out my lease; I cleaned every inch of my apartment. I received a letter from Burton Carol informing me that a security deposit would not be returned to me. 

Why?

Because when ownership was taken over the former owners didn't turn over any information about the deposits. The owners STILL have the information and we are to go to them for our money back. The office personal informed me that Burton Carol would provide the old owners with information as to the conditions of our units when we vacated but also told me that noone has had success in getting ahold of the former owners. I have 3 addresses and haven't heard anything back. My money will most likely never be returned. If you are living there and were living there BEFORE the new owners took over you WILL NOT be getting your deposit back. 

I've never had an issue getting my money back and know that I left that place in much better shape than how it was when I moved in.
