John and Robin Barrett of Harley Acre Filas failed to pay for two breeding dogs, regularly falsifies the pedigrees of their dogs, do not follow the breed standard, and breed more than 30 litters a year.
They also take deposits for puppies and do not return them; and they will tell the prospect anything they want to hear to make a sale.
The customer is not given a choice of puppy.
The breeding stock is not tested for health.

I was ripped off by a breeder named Patti Thomas Brown and her husband Richard Brown of Hill Country Filas. I purchased a puppy from them and they gave me a very sick one. The puppy was full of worms and had a raging infection. We had to have him put to sleep because they could not save him. Robin Barrett and her husband John Barrett helped us through this. Robin talked to me for hours and cried with me when we had to put the puppy down. They even offered us a free puppy to make up for what this breeder did to us. This breeder refused to take our phone calls and we later found out that the humane officers went to her kennels and they found 36 counts of animal cruelty. She stopped using her kennel name Hill Country and is now selling them through Exclusive Genetics Filas. Please do not be misled by these people. They have come on here and tried to deface Harley Acre Filas and it's just not true what they are saying.
