Hartford Home Insurance of Illinois Refused to pay claim for basement water backup, that I had insured. Griffin Rd. Windasor, Connecticut 06095-1512 CT

My basement had water cmingup from the basement floor drain on April 5, 2017, I was out of town but my daughter called  me and Itold her to call Hartford and our Village Building Inspector David Upshaw to come out and inspect.

Mr. Upshaw came out and saw the water coming up from the floor drain and suggested she contact my insurance company. Mr. Derrickj Brown from Hartford camne out later the same day and also saw the water coming up from the floor drain. He told my daughter that everything in the basement was affected, and to leave alone. He then left. Mr. Brown came to m house on April 7, 2017 and the water was still coming  up thru the floor drain, as we had severe flooding for several days in a row.

I returned back home on April 11, 2017 and mold was all over my basement. I called Hartford and talked to Shannon Rush, who informed me that Mr. Derrick Browm told them, that the water was coming from the walls of my basement. But Mr. David Upshaw told me he did not see water coming from my walls, that my walls were dry.

Hartford denied my claim.
