He comes across as trustworthy and honest.  That is the least of what he is.  Beware of him and do not hire him for any jobs especially in your home.  

He came to my home, quoted me what I believed to be a bit high of a price to remove and tile 800 sq feet but I felt I could trust him in my home and that would be worth some of the price.  He promised me great work and reassured me that he could be trusted and that everything would be fine.  Not to be.  

He started September 26th, 2016 and before he started he demanded a deposit which I gave him.  A week later when hardly any of the work was started, he again asked for more money which I paid him.   Then he said he had to patch up some cracks in the foundation.  He used 1 bag of concrete if that.  He charged me over $900.00 for that little repair alone.  He used 29 bags of thinset for 500 sq feet of tile which took him a month to do.  He continuously asked me to buy more and more materials while none of the work was getting done.   The manager at the tile store knew something was wrong and offered to help me by giving me an additional 10 bags of thin set to complete the remainder of the work.  To date, those 10 bags went missing along with some tile and grout.   

As of October 26th (a month later) only 500 sq. feet of the job has been completed.  30 days to do a small living room. The tiles are not even, they stick out and the job overall was done poorly.   There is damage to my dining room cabinet, my bathroom cabinet, gashes in my walls, and missing baseboards throught my entire area.  

He lied about picking up the materials.  He said he would and after I signed the contract and paid him the deposit, he told me I would have to have everything shipped.  I even used my own car at times as he would not.  An additional cost to have everything shipped to my home after he said he would take care of it.

I have been in tears over this.  My house is a mess, the only portion that was tiled, is not done right and not completely finished.  I am out over $10,000.00 between labor and materials, $5,888.00 for just labor alone and this man is out getting more work for himself while picking up poor illegals to do the work while he doesnt do anything. 

I asked him for my key back and he never returned.  He had 1 of his workers (which I later found out did not work for him at all but was just a layman who did not have experience laying tile and his friend) leave the key.  They used in total 39 bags of thinset for 500 sq feet of tile which was not even done correctly and I will now have to have redone.

Turns out he never performed or oversaw any of the work himself.  Cameras in my home show 2 spanish men entering and leaving my home every day while he would come around sometimes at lunch time, use the bathroom and leave.   He took thousands of dollars from me, left my home is dissaray and unfinished after a month and having workers in my home 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

I am out of money.  I cannot have the remainder 300 sq feet done, which includes grout and baseboars, fixing the damaged  cabinets his workers broke and so forth.

I have been through a horrible experience.  I am hoping that I save someone else from this same fate by knowing who this man really is.
