Harvey Rentals, Chugach Courtyard apts, 250 east 120th ave. rental complex Anchorage, Alaska

   Originally I had moved to this building about three years when a woman named Judy was the manager. She was a COMPLETE physco, the building was her life. I couldnt check the mail or do the laundry without her coming up to me and telling me how to do things ( how to shut the mailbox correctly, how to "NOT SLAM" the lid on the dryer) she would stop us in the parking lot and scream at us for driving to fast ( NO joke, i wouldnt be going over 10) she would walk around the building looking into windows to see what people were doing,  one night at 4 am my boyfriend threw a cig. on the ground and sure enough 30 seconds later she was at the door in a complete rage. She would constantly be hurt or sick, arm in a pretend cast, or dying of the flu. She had a young daughter who couldnt go to school because the teachers picked on her.

   Eventually, she was asked to leave ( THANK GOD) and another landlord was brought in.  Dave never did anything. He was the laziest most unreliable landlord of all time. We didnt have lights. for four months. I would tell dave at least 4 times a week for 4 months that we needed lights, eventually i just fixed them. There were so many problems with other tenants who lived at the building. One couple in particular were SO ridiculous, the police were at their apartment EVERY SINGLE night. the woman had been arrested for DUI and arrested at the apartment, screaming in the middle of the night at the police. A couple times the police had been called because they were fist fighting in the parking lot, yes.. a wife and husband. There had been everyone from crack dealers, pot heads, and prostitutes(RUNNING THEIR BUSINESSES) living there. I moved out at the end of the month to move out of state. When i gave dave my notice i told him the first of the next month would be my last day, i asked him if i needed to pay anymore and he told me 'no no dont worry about it' IT took AN ENTIRE MONTH to reach the office to get my deposit returned to me., I had been calling the office number that had been on the door, when i left. It had been daves cell phone (HOW UNPROFESSIONAL) not one time did he answer just to tell me it wasnt the right number anymore, or call me back. I had a relative go over there numerous times to see if there was a new number, and to see if anyone was there to get my money from.

   JUST two days ago did a new number get put on the door. I called and left a message. I got a call back that day from some COMPLETE A*HOLE 20-something year old guy who was the new manager. WOW.. i asked how much my deposit was going to be he went off on a rant " 75$ for carpet cleaning, $ 25.00 for the extra day you stayed..... wait, i told dave i would be staying he told me i didnt have to worry about extra rent, doesnt matter he doesnt work here anymore.....then came the craziest claim EVER he claims to have spent MORE than 8 hours cleaning the TINY a*s littly apartment. NO WAY NO physical way... you could re-carpet, re-tile, paint every wall, and re-install cabinets in that amount of time. in all i got charged 300$ to move out of that h*ll hole. He told me i shouldnt have "ran off" so fast when i gave him my keys... which i didnt do. I asked if there was anything else i needed to do and he said no and slammed the door in my face. PLUS, my car battery died in the parking lot... so i was there in the parking lot for another hour at least. amazing. PLUS all of what they are claiming as cleaning... was most likely things like painting the walls and normal wear and tear.. ugh.

   These people all SLUM lords, this place is SH*T and is way to small.The owner of the building is the one who is paid to 'clean' these places, i'm pretty sure you can't charge to fix the place up for the next tenant. I would understand if the apartment was left a mess, or if i didnt spend time taking care of it, but i did.  The rent had gone up THREE different times since I had been there, and i saw it advertised for $820 WHICH IS WAYYYYYYYY WAYYY to much, you can find a nicer 2 bedroom in MOUNTAIN VIEW for a better value. PLUS they make up riduculous claims when you leave. I hate harvey rentals, i hated them the entire time i lived there, PLEASE find somewhere else to live. FYI- they have been sued before, and been reported to better business bureau numerous times. I would sue them if it was even worth my time and money..however, im sure that their business is soon to fall apart. I have great advide for you idiots--- LEARN how to run a legit. apartment complex, write receipts, get to your tenants in a timely manner, take care of your building and stop using the absolute cheapest supplies you find at wal-mart, and be polite. simple as that ... dont try to rebut this, I have plenty more information:)
