I received Visa statement today, 1/26/06. Noted to have a charge of $149.95 to HDI*HOMEWORKSPLUS with a transaction date of 1/09/06. Did a web search to find out what kind of business this is, and found to my astonishment that this so-called company has done this to other consumers as well. This charge by this "company" was completely unauthorized.

Well after a few hours of phone sleuthing, it appears that in February of 2005, I placed a phone order with IMPROVEMENTS catalog based in Hanover, PA. It appears this company signed me up with a "membership" to this HDI*HOMEWORKS PLUS. They alledge that I authorized this enrollment, which I definitely know I did not. We're just not into gift cards, cupons and the like. Plus, we did not receive any membership card with a membership number. So... because of unethical business conduct shown by IMPROVEMENTS... they are now on the list also. The credit card company, the bank, and the state attorney general were all notified.
