Hendersen Webb Beware of Hendersen Webb Cockeysvulle, Maryland

When you are looking for an apartment, please do not rent from Hendersen Webb. They are crooks and they are the worst landlord I have ever, ever had!  They will take you for all of your money and not care at all.

My story is quite long but I will post the short version.  I originally moved into the Bluffs Apartments in Columbia, on the corner of 29 and 108.  I stayed there for a while and suddenly acquired a stalker.  My tires were getting slashed once a month for 4 months.  I explained this to the office and asked what were my options.  They suggested that I transfer to another one of their properties, that way I wouldn't lose my deposit, which was $1,300.00 - way too high!!!!

So I agreed to move to their Glen Burnie location but problem....they required a $300.00 transfer fee before they would let me move.  Are you kidding me?  Here I am, having my tires slashed, no money, and you want another $300.00 to transfer to keep me safe?  This began to show how they really were. 

I borrowed the money and moved.  Here is where the real fun starts. I wasn't there 4 months and the man upstairs was extremely loud.  I called the office to complain and they said I had to write a letter.  So I did.  That didn't stop the noise.  It continued and then one day it got even worse.  There was a whole family living upstairs from me in a one bedroom apartment.  There were 2 adults and 4, count them, 4 small children.  They would literally run around the apartment all day and night.  They were so loud, my windows would rattle.  They would play loud music, had parties up there and one time after I called the cops, after they left, the loud music went back up again.

I called the police on them twice, and wrote Hendersen Webb 4 complaint letters.  They did nothing.  I did receive one form letter from them stating that if there is a noise problem, between 8 and 5, to call the office.  Are you kidding me?  I work all day long and the noise started when I got home from work at 6:00 p.m.

  So I was within 2 weeks of my lease expiring and I chose not to renew it.  I sent them a letter stating this and the reason why.  So I moved out and I got a partial return of my security deposit.  I only got $550.00 back out of my $1,300.00.  Now, given the situation that they were well aware of they were still going to keep my money for breaking the lease 2 weeks early!!!

So I decided I was not going to let them do this to me.  So I filed a small claims court against them.  I did not have a lawyer at all, and they totally lawyered up in court.  So I told the judge what happened and when I told him how many people were living up there in a one bedroom apartment, I thought he was going to throw his gavel at them.  A few minutes after that, the judge looked at the lawyers, and just shook his head and said, judgement for the Plaintiff - which was me.  I won my money back. 

So, heed my warning.......do not rent from these people.

I was fortunate, I won my money back, but lived for 1 year in sheer hell and they refused to do nothing to help.  They don't care about their tenants!!!!

They are pond scum, steer clear away from them.

They only want your money and will try to take as much of it as they can.  I stood up and fought for myself and d**n glad I did so.
