Bought house in Texas in 2016 and moved from California. Henderson County sent tax statements to California and I never received anything from them. When I contacted them in early 2017, they informed me that it was my fault that they sent documents to Cali and assumed no responsibility. They charged me an extra 5 grand in penalities and interest. I sent 6 certified letters requesting an explanation in addtion to 2 emails with NO response. Peggy Goodall obviously runs a dictortial money grabbing county office with no transparency or accountability. I had to pay up or their collection henchmen would foreclose on a "paid for" $600,000.00 homestead. The fact that I am 71 years of age and disabled was of no consequence to the. PATHETIC... If Trump knew about this, he would fire them all. Guaranteed!!!
