This matter was turned over to the State of Texas Wage Hour offices in Austin where a several hearings were set up.  During the hearings Leverage repeatedly tried to enter "evidence" the court did not allow, delayed proceedings by isisting on points muted by state, and tied up various fax machines attempting to send documents already disallowed by court.

After lengthy arguments with Leverage, the state decided in plantiff's favor and awarded wages due.

Leverage refused to pay even after this ruling and the State of Texas was forced to act on their decision by freezing and forcably taking all necessary amount(s) from their bank account(s).

The issue isn't whether we can do something to remediate the issue on the customer/consumer end or whether it's cheaper or not, but whether the company is ripping off or attempting to ripoff the customer.    In addition, body wash is not sold in as many stores as soap and is not the issue in this report.

I usually use body wash (liquid soap) because of the ease of use, and the problems mentioned with bars.  I use the local store brand and I'm not sure if they even offer their own bar soap.

However, the good thing is when you forget to pick up some and you're running low (or just want to be cheap) you can just add water and voila! you now have a new bottle.

Maybe it's cost effective to "liquify" your bars?

I guess the savings can only be determined by how much you "water down".

Same thing can be done with lots of other things-from shampoo to gasoline. (rental cars only)

Also if you REALLY want to be cheap, you can just take your own empty bottle to restrooms (preferably ups stores) and fill there.

 I've posted about this subject on this site a couple of times. Dial use to be 5oz. Now they've shrunk it down to 4oz. yet charge more. A bar of dial soap looks like a frickin's canoe compared to how it use to look. A couple of things I've found improve it's preformance. I buy the 20 bar pack at Sam's, take it home, open up ALL the bars and let them dry out. A bar will last much longer if they're "cured" and much of the water is gone. When I start getting low, like 4 or 5 bars left, I'll go back to Sam's and buy another 20 pack. As for the breaking in half, "rotate" the side you use. That way the bar "wears" evenly and doesn't break in half. When the bars DO get kind of thin, I will put one on top of another to extend the life of the bar. I think I've gotten up to 4 bars on top of each other before they dissolve. I've actually tried microwaving some bars to see what kind of results I'd get. Didn't work but nothing lost. Hey, and if you think I'm tight, one old guy that I use to work with use to pick up the used shards of bars of soap at the gym and use those AND the old razors that people left. THAT'S tight.
