Unacceptable customer service and defective, poor quality luggage.

 

My husband purchased a 3 piece set two years ago Christmas.  First use the large peice broke, the entire corner broke off.  It took me almost a year to get a replacement after excruciating attempts of calls/emails to get customer service to respond.  Worse expereince ever.

 

Two months ago, I used the medium piece for the 1st time and guess what, same exact defect.  Corner broke and now two months later, over a dozen attempts at email and calls, still no response or replacement. 

 

Let's just say a complete ripoff.  They have a huge disregard for customer service and retainment.  Its shameful.

Clarification for those who feel the need to interpret it on their own.  The company themselves deemed that model "eco" brand defective and it was under warranty and still is for a few more years. But here you go for those who need their very own special explanation.

Luggage was bought 12/5/11 AND included a 5 year warranty covering all damage and defects.  This was a 3 piece set "eco" brand and the largest piece was first used on 12/24/11 and immediately broke.  First contact was made on 12/24/11 for warranty replacement via phone message and email.  No response.   Daily calls were made for 8 days.  No response.  12 emails in 14 days following.  No response.  Continued efforts weekly thereafter via phone and email.

First response was not received until 6 months later in June of 2012.  It still took over 6 more months to get a replacement.  The company did not replace with the same model as it was deemed defective but would not coincedently replace the other two pieces that were also deemed "defective."

2nd piece (med size of the set) was first used  a few months ago and same exact thing happened.  Months later no response other than a facebook message indicating they are overgoing a restructuring of their customer service and for me to "stay in touch"

You can waste more time pointing the finger back at me but go check out their facebook wall and you'll see literally dozens of complaints for defective luggage and horrendous customer service.  No need to take my word for it.

 Its been two years since your purchase. They are under NO LEGAL OBLIGATION TO DO ANYTHING AFTER THE FIRST YEAR!! You can state customer service but then I doubt YOU have worked in that type of job. See the CONSUMER is always looking to get SOMEONE else to take responsability for THEIR problem. They will lie. They will intentionally damage their own product. They will do EVERYTHING they can think to NOT have to pay for whatever the problem is.

Because of this, companies have now moved to a new shift of "The customer is always trying to steal". That being said, two years after YOUR purchase and you EXPECT them to replace that baggage. Its not going to happen. As we ONLY have your word that its defective. And not some form of external damage caused by the use of the baggage. THEY ONLY HAVE YOUR WORD THAT ITS DEFECTIVE.
