HH Gregg - GE HHGregg GE Money Bank Ruthless collection despite late deliveries and broken products Cleveland, Ohio

Beware of HH Gregg and their promises especially with GE Money Bank who extends the credit. I purchased a complete kitchen and was assured that our two-year same-as-cash agreement would include a final reminder as the last payment approached. This did not happen in spite of our credit rating of over 750, all monthly payments made to that point of at least DOUBLE, HH Gregg not delivering our appliances for almost 6 weeks late and the refrigerator breaking and needing a repairman to come out and fix it. We absorbed about a $2500 penalty even though I explained the above.

We offered to put the balance (about 4 days late !) on the credit card but GE in their classic "Gotcha" mentality refused. We really appreciated the act of good faith and will never buy anything GE again, right down to the lightbulbs. In addition even though contacted by mail with the penalty statement we mailed the payment the same day we received it but it was processed slowly by GE and we took 2 more penalty hits of over $225 each. I have dealt with HH Gregg twice. Both times there were major delivery problems done by amateur movers. I had to help move in my own mother's stove the first time. That delivery was about 5 hours late but the same day (although it was about 8:30 pm when they got there).

When speaking with HH Gregg customers service they simply acted independently from GE Money Bank. The contestments were seemingly non-ending with GE and HH Gregg in Indy but they were out for the one BIG KILL which is what they will get. I no longer set foot anywhere near HH Gregg nor do I buy GE product. I also have had a washer dryer break within 6 months and repairmen just laugh because of the difficulty of getting to parts. It happened to my brother and a co-worker as well. Consider your self warned but watch this tandem of GE Money and HH Gregg !
