I worked for High Level Marketing (HLM) for 4 years and my major complaints with the company are how they treat their employees and their customers. I will keep my comments about how they treat employees very breif because you can honestly go to Glassdoor for that. All of the negative reviews are real and tell all.

Any of the positive reviews you see on Glassdoor are written by upper management to deliberately push down the negative ones. As a company, High Level Marketing does not care about a single person that works for them. Everyone is replaceable and they don’t think they NEED anyone. No matter how valuable you are to HLM Their end goal is money in their pockets and they will never let you forget that.

As the company makes more money the employees see none of it, well, other than seeing the higher-ups drive into work  in one of their new cars, or hearing them talk about their country club memberships, children’s private school tuitions, or the latest vacations they have been on. Raises will never happen, but they will continuously give you more work while telling you that hitting these goals will eventually land you a raise, but eventually never comes and you are stuck working a full-time job and unable to make ends meet - which is unacceptable.

And don’t think that seniority means anything in terms or raises or treatment, everyone is treated like garbage they don’t discriminate there. BUT where they do discriminate, is when it comes to women and people of color. It is CLEAR that both women and people of color are treated differently than the white males in the office.

Besides the lack of raises, women and people of color are seem to be problematic, combative, and have attitudes when they speak up for themselves or give input on anything, even when spoken in a polite tone, it is received as sarcasm and disrespectful. Most of those higher up in the company are white males with the exception of of a few - one of them being a woman who has been with the company since the start, and another one who rapidly moved up the latter in 6 months…. Yeah, I’m still trying to figure that one out too. It’s important to know that the second woman I referenced was promoted while the woman that was SUPPOSED to be in the position was on maternity leave, they eventually dissolved her position… isn’t that illegal? Anyway, this is a very good example of how loyalty means nothing to the owners of this company.

Now, in terms of how High Level Marketing treats their clients.... their whole business model is one big scam. They BARELY do SEO.... and what they actually do is Black Hat SEO. If you know anything about SEO you know that black hat SEO is very dangerous for your website and overall online presents. During my time there I saw multiple customers get penalized for the type of SEO work High Level Marketing does and those penalties can be hefty! With the amount of money that they charge clients this is unacceptable. Now, High Level Marketing would never tell their customers they practice black hat SEO.... they actually tell them the opposite! HLM tells clients they practice white hat SEO only. And because most of their customers are small business owners who don't really understand SEO, they believe them. Every now and then a client catches no to what they are doing and those are the negative reviews you see.

The majority of High Level Marketing SEO strategy is duplicate content.... if you know anything about SEO you know this can be HORRIBLE for your online reputation. The only reason why high level marketings websites haven't been completely ripped from Google for the duplicate content is because they do it in a very back door type way. The duplicate content isn't front and center on the website for you to see, it's all done behind the scenes. As soon as Google decided to release an update flagging duplicate content, its over for HLM as a company.

As far as the actual websites, they are designed pretty nice... although they are template websites. They say that they do not do template websites but thats because they call them "architectures" instead of templates... but that's what they are, templates. You can have a unique website if you pay them 10k or more. Everyone else gets some generic website that was built in a few hours but you are charged for 20+ hours or work.

Overall, if you're looking for a solid, credible website and SEO company High level marketing is not it. Not only do they treat their employees bad but they are scamming their clients! They also looovvveeee to make fun of their clients around the office. Often mimicking the accents of clients or talking about their intelligence. Its just disrespectful to the people that put money in their pockets. Your money is better spent elsewhere. You can get a better product at a better or more reasonable price without the drama.
