Just an fyi for any seeking a sticker in  the Norton area, stay away from the High  Tech Automotive , far away!, especially if you're a woman, they'll patronize you , unless you know them of course , then I'm sure you'll be taken care of.  They play the sticker scam of  searching for sticker failures and then offering you the service of the failed part. Everyone knows the game..you know the old .. hey you need wipers, we have those...you need tires we have those   and in this case pull out the magnifying glass to find the famous frayed seatbelt.   yes folks the frayed seatbelt!!  of course we can fix that too.

Call me disgruntled if you like, but tell me folks , how many of you have gotten a red rejection sticker ??(which means you can't even drive the car unless to get it fixed) for a frayed seatbelt, not broken just frayed. I admit it  was a little frayed,, about 1/8 inch in one section, but at the very least couldn't I have been told before I shelled out the money for the inspection? I mean the car  had already been driven to the bay for an alignment, so i;m sure it was notice then. I'm a paying customer on another job in the same day  and this is what i get?

yes, remember I'm already  shelling out money for the alignment and thought I would have my sticker while i was there. They thought since I'm here and stupid enough to ask for a sticker they will find a failure of any kind. They will tell you that the state rejected you, not us, which is what they actually said , like that absolves from this sleazy practice, or we care about safety , sure you do. well i didn't see the state there, i saw a a bunch of crooks. i think even if the state were there , they might say hey lady , we drove the car and saw the belt , get the safety belt fixed and come back... but no that would be the decent thing to do.   Oh by the way if you haven't guessed by now they won't be fixing the seatbelt in my car.   stay away from these predators!

MA State Inspections

I am an employee of this company and would like to apoligize for the way you feel about your failed inspection. Although, when it comes to rules and regulations from the state we have no say over it. As "TheWiseGuy" previously stated (in more vulgar terms) State Inspections are pretty closely watched. We do not mean you fail you just to "target" you, it is because the state has deemed certain items unsafe. I don't like telling people that they fail a state inspection, even for the little things! But if you actually take the time to read and learn their reasoning, it starts to make sense. The link in the last rebuttal is the correct link and we were in the process of looking for the same. You have to scroll down a bit to see the definition of what are the failable offenses. And again, as was stated before: It is true, women are the majority of business. Businesses would have nothing to gain by treating women any differently than men. I see that honesty is best, and I will not lie to you when you ask me a question. If I don't know the answer, I will find it for you. The same principal goes to stickers as it would other services. If I tell you I can't fix your tire due to where the punture is, it's because it would actually be a risk to you. Sometimes you can go to Joe Shmoe's gas station and they may plug it, but they are doing you no favor. So they saved you the expense of buying a tire that day, but what happens when that tire blows out on the highway due to a shoddy repair? That is why the state puts these regulations out there. If you have any complaints about the inspections or questions, you can contact the motorist hotline at: 1-866-941-6277. Or visit www.mass.gov/vehiclecheck

First off.. Hahahahahaha!! You stupid (((REDACTED))), do you even know how state inspections work? I have been a customer at this shop for years and they are very "by the books." I know some simple-minded d****ebags like people to skim them by just giving people a passing sticker, or just saying "everything's ok." Well let me tell you something stupid.. I was a registered state inspector back in the day, and believe it or not, they are pretty closely watched. If the state inspector fails you for a reason, he/she is actually doing you the favor. Not the person who passes is. (Also, it's ILLEGAL.)

I'm sure you'll find the state law at www.vehicletest.state.ma.us/newsletters/10FALL.doc

Trust me, if I know it's an offense (and unsafe) AND I would expect to fail for it, there's no reason you should. I know you may be pissed about the whole situation, and "omg I'm a woman!" Blah blah blah.. Did you realize that in the automotive field that more than 70% of any garages clients that walk in the door on a daily basis are women? They would have nothing to gain! True, there are some old-timers that still think they can give you a run for your money, but in almost all companys/ corporations the newer and youngers staffs are based towards customer experiences. Even when I did stickers, do you think I liked to tell people that they failed for stupid stuff? Get bent lady and welcome to the real world!
