I purchased a vehicle from this dealer in July 2008 with an extended warranty from a Company called CareGard in Texas. The contract states $3900 went to CareGard, when in fact, the dealer lumped a Toyota Prepaid Maintenance program for $1400 along with the $2500 Caregard warranty, the maximum they can finance by law, into the total $3900 as shown on the line "Mechanical Breakdown Protection." My retail installment contract shows $3900, so does the copy Toyota has, but the dealer, after I signed the paperwork and left the dealership, crossed out the $3900 and put $2500, handwritten on the copy sent to Caregard, while the copy I have and Toyota Financial Services has shows $3900. I was under the assumption that everything on a retail installment contract has to be itemized by line, showing the exact amounts and who that amount will be going to to avoid confusion, and corruption to occur. I believe the dealer slid the $1400 prepaid maintenance program into the Caregard program, which some of the coverage overlaps, in order to collect money for services they hope they never have to perform, assuming the customer never notices. I do not see how a "prepaid maintenance" program can be lumped into a line on the installment contract that is specifically for "Mechanical Breakdown Protections" only. Hoffman Toyota's general manager, Tyrell Dabrowski, and the finance manager, Anthony Martinez, have repeatedly told me "this is how it has always been done." Maybe the way "its always been done" has just been deceitful, but I am wondering if this constitutes outright fraudulent contract practices that maybe affect hundreds and hundreds of people.

Urgent Alert!!!! YOU SHOULD CONTACT THE.....

bank or finance company that received all of your paperwork from the dealership & make sure it matches up with what YOU signed. Then contact the warranty company & make sure that they are still in business. Then, you CAN cancel that warranty, & recoup some of your money since it's only been about a year since you contracted on this car.

There's a chance that FRAUD did occur. If that's the case, SUE the dealership & expose them all over the web. If I were you, I'd CANCEL the 'Extended Warranty' IMMEDIATELY & get your money back! (You'll get a portion of it back.) DON'T TRUST the Toyota dealership to help you, or tell you the truth!!! Most Toyota dealerships are just like many mortgage companies that were operating in the USA over the last several years. They'll say one thing, but you'll find out the HARD WAY that it wasn't true.

You can also try contacting an attorney or Stopautofraud.com for advice. They might be able to offer you some free help. Give it a shot! What do you have to lose? Make sure to watch the 'Dateline NBC Investigation' that's available on Stopautofraud.com's website.

Also 'Google' this- AUTO DEALER LOUIS F HARRELSON TO PLEAD GUILTY, and read that article. I believe he owns a Toyota dealership also, right?

WELCOME TO OUR TOYOTA DEALERSHIP- IN FRAUD & TRICKERY WE TRUST!

P.S. *Believe it or not, Toyota Corporation & their TOP executives know all about the FRAUD, DECEPTION, MANIPULATION, LIES, & TRICKERY that takes place inside their dealer network! They actually PROMOTE it because they believe it sells more cars & it makes them more money!!!
