Holiday Inn Filthy scum hole

My husband and I were visiting his son's family in Marion, Indiana and took a room at the local Holiday Inn. The first room they gave us had hair all over the sheets and obviously had not even been changed from the last customer. When we took all our stuff back down to the clerk and asked for a clean room, he gave us another room he said 'should be clean', but not only was there hair in this bed, but the sheets had dried semen stains. It was the most disgusting thing I had seen in a long while.
Needless to say, we left and found a wonderful Hampton Inn in the same town. This isn't our first bad experience with Holiday Inn. The sad part is, they don't even care. I've had similar experiences at Comfort Inns and Days Inns as well. I've learned to go ask to see the room before I check in. It saves time.
