These crooks sold me a truck that was supposed to be checked and serviced by their GM mechanics, yet they tried to hide a failing TCM so they could pass off the $675 repair bill to the buyer. I ended up being the lucky guy who got stranded on the side of the road hours away from home less than a week after buying it and had to take care of figuring out this mess. I called the salesman Pete and he said it was sold with no warranty (they actually made me sign 2 waivers! Tell me that isnt a little shady...). I agreed that I bought a truck with no warranty, but then after dropping it off to a duramax expert, he concluded this wasnt the first time this tcm had failed and that someone tried to turn off the codes but were unsuccessful at removing them completely. He bought a new TCM unit from my local GM dealer and had the dealer flash it for me. HOLMAN GMC SCAM ARTISTS sold me a truck with known issues prior to me purchasing it, and wouldnt stand behind their product. I cant believe a GM dealer would stoop that low to scam a customer out of $675, it's flat out pathetic. I went to a GM dealer to try to avoid this kind of dishonest behavior. The truck has terrible swirling in every panel as well. As soon as the polish wore off (less than a month after I purchased it), all these terrible swirls showed up. It looks awful. Whoever tried to buff this truck should be ban from ever touching a polishing tool again. I'm still trying to recover from the $675 repair bill before I can afford another couple hundred dollar detailing repair bill. Buyer beware of these crooks!!!

“yet they tried to hide a failing TCM”

They may not have concealed it. It may have passed their tests.

“they actually made me sign 2 waivers! Tell me that isnt a little shady”

They didn’t make you sign anything. You could have declined the deal. No, that isn’t shady.

“someone tried to turn off the codes but were unsuccessful at removing them completely”

That could be the actions of a previous owner or that person’s mechanic.

“HOLMAN GMC SCAM ARTISTS sold me a truck with known issues prior to me purchasing it”

You have no idea if the dealer was aware of the issue.

Classic Case

You say they checked this thing over by their mechanics, at least that's what the salesman said.  If they thought it was in such great condition, did it ever occur to you they would gladly offer you a free warranty?  You also stated they "made you sign" two disclosure statements and you made some kind of big deal about this in your report!  Guess what?  The presentment and signature of disclosure statements is a FEDERAL REQUIREMENT and it is mandated so that consumers will know without any doubt they are NOT going to receive free warranty service.  A smart consumer, when presented with a smiling salesman who claims the car is so, so wonderful and problem free will reply with, "So that means it comes with a free warranty, right?  You said it problem free, so why not?"  When the salesman stutters and says, "Sorry, no.", that shows the smart consumer the dealer doesn't trust the car.  Bottom line for you is you bought the car "As Is" and that means you are not entitled to free warranty service.  It is time for you to accept that, move on with your life and next time the salesman says the car is a cream puff, then you walk out when he won't back up his words with a free warranty.
