Home Advisor Sister company of Angie's list Bait and switch scam

On 11/12/18 we signed up with Home Advisor for a new Floor Cleaning Business with Jordan 1-631-856-5286 from Home Advisor. Jordan was on a speaker phone with multiple people in our office listening. Jordan said the intitial payment was $287.99 and we would pay for the leads IF WE SOLD THEM!! The leads would avereage $18. I told Jordan I do not and will not pay for bogus leads but will if I sell the job.  To sign up you have to use a credit or debit card for the $287.99 payment.

Alrighty then, believing I would pay for the leads I sell, I gave Jordan the card and was charged the initial fee but...we got 8 leads over the next few days. All leads were for over an hour away, not in our area and when we called them, the customers said there have been multiple floor cleaners call. They use the local guys!

THEN I was charged $36.53 then another $126.26 off of my debit card by Home Advisor. When we called we are informed we are charged for each lead sent to us and will cost from $18 to $56!! They decide what to charge us??

I called Home advisor today and after a lengthy hold I talked to Stephanie who informed me they do not refund for any reason but she can refund the $36 and $126 as long as they can keep sending me leads in my local area and charge me per lead in which they have the power to decide what fee will be assessed per lead??

I let Stephanie know she can refund the whole amount or I can do a chargeback at my bank but either way Home Advosor was not keeping the money. She informed me she could not advise me on my business desisions but she can not refund all the money. 

I have been with Home Advoisors two weeks today. They have taken $450.78 out of my account and I have no good leads to show for it. We have been scamed by a bait and switch tactic. Completely lied to over the phone and Home Advisor never denigned it or wanted to contact Jordan in which we did call him last Wednesday when he got all pissy, said he would look into a refund and hung up. We have never heard back from Jordan either.

STAY AWAY FROM HOME ADVISOR!!!
